When someone we know goes through an illness or is recovering from an injury, there's really nothing we can do except care for them in a way that is possible for us. And unless we are part of their immediate family, we can't really participate in the regular caregiving. But this doesn't mean we can't do anything at all. Wishing them with get well soon cards and messages is a really meaningful way to support someone. A lot of times I have seen people underestimate the value of showing up for someone, calling them, or writing them a heartfelt get-well card. And because we think these things don ..read more

I have always heard about the benefits of being grateful, but I honestly never experienced them until recently. Let me tell you about my life prior to gratitude. I would always be in a fussy mood about little things going wrong or at least not the way I wanted them to go. And I wasn't happy because many things didn't go my way. I was definitely immature. To say the least, I was a spoiled brat, and I knew it. However, with age comes maturity, and I was blessed enough to mature at the age of 34... late bloomer, I know. I started reading more about gratitude and loving life... slowly but surely ..read more

These past 6 months have been the hardest, most emotional, darkest times of my life. But through it all, I'm so grateful and blessed because of it. On August 29, 2023, I was blindsided by my now ex that he was wanting a divorce. He didn't tell me face to face but through text. I was devastated. I found out that he was having multiple affairs and that he was leaving me for one of the women he was messing around with. I didn't know what to do next because I had no savings to spend on a lawyer or find a new place to stay at the time, and I knew that I no longer wanted to live there with him beca ..read more

Tricia's Story - Gratitude Adventurer

Hi, my name is Tricia, I'm here to share my story of going through hell in the last couple of years of domestic violence, being totally controlled, put down, and physically assaulted. I loved this man with all my heart and felt like I could change him, turn him around. But now, I realize what it was like for me, and that was the hardest to deal with because I didn't know how to handle it. When I wasn't allowed to speak, I used to write in my notebook a lot, which really helped me vent it all out. At first, I didn't realize the significance, but later on, when I went back and read what I had w ..read more

Hey everyone, I just had to share how this Gratitude app turned my everyday routine into something amazing. At first, I got it just to see something positive every day, you know, a little pick-me-up. But, surprise surprise, it ended up changing my whole life. In the beginning, I wasn't using it much – busy with stuff, you know? But I'd get these cool quotes in my notifications that I really liked. One day, I told my friend about it, and she started using it too. We'd chat about it, and that got me more interested. Then, I took this self-love course by Aarushi, and wow, it made a big differenc ..read more

Anon's Story - From Darkness to Gratitude

In the depths of despair, I found an unexpected lifeline: "gratitude." It wasn't an immediate change. I didn't say, "Okay, today I am grateful for..." and then a miracle instantly happened. Not at all. Rather, it was a gradual shift, like the sun rising after a long, stormy night. It came with a spiritual practice that became my daily ritual of self-love, care, and reflection combined with projecting these feelings outwardly to my peers. This is where I saw a beautiful change in myself and the people around me. Unhealthy toxic flings and relationships ensnared me, their toxic tendrils suffoca ..read more

Life itself has always been a roller coaster ride for me, but every fall has helped me understand something new about myself and aided in my improvement, making me a better individual. However, sometimes when we experience failure, we fail to recognize this philosophy, and we tend to lose hope and take our descent very seriously. This, in the long run, may affect our mental well-being and overall personality development. I went through a similar experience during my college days. I was in my first year of college, studying B.Com. I aimed to complete my graduation and get an MBA degree, just l ..read more

Gratitude journaling is what got me through the past year intact. I lost my son, Bobby Gatto, to a bicycle accident on December 11, 2022. It's the worst thing that's ever happened to me or to anyone in our lives. He was the person who never took life for granted. He was appreciative and grateful for every moment and made the best of life's ups and downs always. He was my inspiration when I was lost. He gave the best hugs. Writing all the things he's made me grateful for, all in one place, a list, and a journal to follow the list, is what helped me continue to move forward and be a good mother ..read more

Gem's Story - The Grace of Gratitude

Hi, readers. Gem here. I'm a bit on the younger side here, but I believe that is the base of my story. I was in my junior year of high school when I found the concept of gratitude journaling. Having seen countless videos about it, I knew what it was... but I just did not have the courage to pursue it, because I didn't think it would make that big of a difference. In the first week of January 2023, I came across a bunch of recommendations, journal prompts, websites... and then finally, Gratitude App. I immediately liked the idea of it, and in the comments, I read the most positive reviews I'd ..read more
