Quite apart from Charterhouse being one of the most well established public schools in England, having been founded in London in 1611 (then moving to it’s current location in Godalming, Surrey in 1872) it also makes for an unbelievably stunning and unusual wedding venue! Having grown up in the area myself, my earliest memory of Charterhouse is competing against them on the football pitch, with the imposing Philip Charles Hardwick designed buildings and statue of the school’s founder Thomas Sutton as a backdrop. Little did I know then, that I’d be returning on such a beautiful day, al ..read more

Wanna see some High Billinghurst Farm wedding photos? You bet!! Shooting at a new wedding venue, or should I say, one that I’ve not shot at before, such as High Billinghurst Farm near Dunsfold where Top Gear is filmed, is always an enjoyable experience. One of the questions I often get asked by expectant brides and grooms is “Have you shot at our venue before?” and whilst this is an understandable question for them to be asking, a “no” in reply certainly shouldn’t be seen as a deal breaker, in my opinion.
I make a point of meeting all my couples at their venue before the wedding, and so it was ..read more

One of the things I’ve learnt during my years as a photographer, is that what I enjoy most about photographing weddings is the variety they offer in terms of location, people, traditions, and the time of year couples choose to get married.
Don’t get me wrong, the traditional English summer wedding is of course a lot of fun to be a part of, but when a couple comes all the way from the Philippines to get married at Pembroke Lodge, because they love the autumn colour, then it’s so inspiring as a photographer. The love and positive energy that exists between family and friends at this particu ..read more

This St. Peter’s Italian Church Wedding Clerkenwell was one of my favourite weddings of summer 2023. St. Peter’s Church in Clerkenwell, represents the biggest Catholic Italian community in London. Opened in 1863, it was at the time, the only church in Britain designed in the Roman basilican style. The Irish architect John Miller Bryson worked from plans drawn by Francesco Gualandi of Bologna, modelled on the Basilica of San Crisogno in Rome. It has a tranquil feel and one could spend hours there, soaking up the prayerful atmosphere and admiring the stunning painted ceilings and artwork.

What an epic day, being there to witness Suzi and Patrick getting married at RHS Garden Wisley. For me the day began with some pictures of Suzi and the girls getting ready and having their hair and makeup done by the brilliant Amanda Durkin, before we made our way to Weybridge Register Office for an intimate legal ceremony with just the couple and the closest family and friends. Weybridge Register Office holds a special place in my heart, as it was where I photographed my sister getting married over ten years ago.
Fast forward to Suzi and Patricks big day, and the sense of excitement was ..read more
