It's never too early to start getting ready for this winters snare season.. I purchased a pile of snare supplies and took the plunge and bought a wolf foothold . The " No BS wolf trap was a major expense ,$ 141 in fact but the wolves have made it personal now and I'm determined that this is the year we catch one . A friend loaned me his MB750 wolf trap so with the 2 of them we will see what happens . Due to the hi grizzly population in our area these will jnly be used on pee posts for wolves...

Wasn't gonna do one this year ,but after a sob story from youngdon here goes ( gotta keep the mods happy ?) I set 2 traps on a cow carcass at the neigh ours about 3 weeks ago and so far have caught 4 coyotes ,2 were pups, none of the hides were good so they are feeding the ravens..
Got 4 snares set back by the bins ,one trail ,3 at a bait ...just trying to help out the pheasants..well today I had my first catch , a nice red fox.. I don't target them specifically cause I know they catch a...

Well I’ve got a pack of coyotes getting too close to the mobile home park and I don’t have time to try calling them so I’ve put 5 sets out and so far only connected with 2 grinners and a very large dark raccoon hopefully maybe this weekend I can find time to call the pack in but it’s calling for heavy rain all weekend ..read more

Finally got around to getting my last 7 dogs ready for the auction ,good colors but I'm afraid poor prices await ..already have 25 real.nice ones in the freezer left from last year so these have to go ...Deb says im too old to snare next year by myself out in the big country so far from home ...will see what she says when I load the truck end of Nov to prebait and get ready to start hanging cable ,the shop can be such a lonely place to sleep [emoji42] .
