Mistakes were made. I’ve seen so many of these baking sheet tartlets that I was fully confident I could make one with no recipe. This is how I go into any new endeavor. Headfirst, full of confidence from past experiences of doing other things well, and directly plant my face into a wall.  Do I think I’m a failure as a novice baker because these tartlets didn’t come out as expected?  Not at all. Research for Westside Oracle book #1 in the Midlife Olympians series started in Greece and ended in the Olympic Mountains of Washington. Seeing the places, meeting the people, and immersing myself in the culture of where myths come from is an important part of research for me. The library from my childhood home town. Greetings book loving friend! My earliest memories are of a little library in my small Pennsylvanian home town. (It’s the converted church pictured above.)
