Classic white and green flowers will always be timeless when planning your wedding. For this fall wedding at The Round Barn the couple chose a clean, crisp palette of white blooms and lots of candlelight. Flower featured here include white callas, freesia, hydrangea, roses, seeded eucalyptus, Italian ruscus and branchy-birch elements as well. The bride asked for a cascade bouquet, but nothing too wild or too long as she’s petite and this foam free hand-tied bouquet was one of my favorites of the season! I don’t always take a picture of myself holding a bouquet, but I couldn’t resist taking a ..read more

There’s nothing quite like a fall wedding in Vermont. Add to that the beautiful surroundings of The Round Barn in Waitsfield, VT, and you have yourself a quintessential Vermont experience! Featured here are fall flowers in a palette of burgundy, orange, peach, and white including dahlias, mums, roses, amaranthus, scabiosa and hydrangea, with a few touches of blue thistle and eucalyptus. Texture rules the day here (although the adorable flower girl and sweet puppy really did steal the show!). If you are looking for the key to my floral heart, it’s probably yellow! I love yellow flowers–both as an accent and as a main player in your floral palette. Today I have an early summer wedding to share with you from Basin Harbor Club. It was a rainy day (that turned into a pretty rainy season actually!), but that’s why a great venue and their staff are ready for anything. A rainy day is a true reminder of how much life and beauty flowers can bring to your special day! (And yes, the yellows do the heavy lifting when it comes to brightening up the entire day!) There’s something about a wedding at Basin Harbor Club that make a blue and white floral palette right at home. With the water, the iconic Adirondack chairs, and the views, Basin Harbor is truly one of a kind. White peonies, roses, ranunculus, hellebores, lavender clematis, light blue tweedia, delphinium and hydrangea are featured here, as well as Solomon’s seal and white lilacs from my garden. I love that the bouquets feel both full, yet soft and the touches of greenery add a bit of playfulness to the shape. The wedding arbor was adorned with blue, white and green hydrangea, roses, and delph ..read more

As a floral designer, I live for color! When we started the floral planning for this September wedding at Trapp Family Lodge, the blues, whites and greens were our jumping off point, and as plans continued to develop, we added some touches of peach and orange into the mix to really add a pop of seasonal flair with a vivid contrast to the setting. Featured flowers here include peach and orange dahlias, blue delphinium, orange and white roses, blue hydrangea, thistle, hypericum, ranunculus, anemones and stock. I really dig the oranges and blues with the peaches, whites and greens. And the linens ..read more
