Our 70th anniversary season has been one of celebration and pride. Not many organizations achieve such a milestone and it encourages us as we chart the next 70 years.  Our season continues under the direction of Artistic Director Glen Cortese, who I encourage you to meet at the March 2024 Cabaret fundraiser, “The Golden Age of Broadway”. We will close this season with the May 2024 concert “A Musical Odyssey” featuring a new collaboration with the Catskill Choral Society, and welcoming back guest conductor Octavio Más-Arocas. The Board of Directors at the Catskill Symphony Orchestra proudly announces the appointment of Glen Cortese as its new Artistic Director starting with the 2024-2025 Season. This significant appointment comes on the heels of his impactful role as Interim Music Director beginning in July 2023, a period characterized by innovation and increased community involvement. SUNY Oneonta’s Alumni Field House Dewar Arena, 108 Ravine Parkway, Oneonta, NY 13820 We loved performing at Foothills Performing Arts and Civic Center this fall, but this year’s Cabaret, as it has been many years before, is at SUNY Oneonta’s Alumni Field House (the college’s main athletic complex, which is near the college’s West Street entrance). John Philip Sousa, also known as "The March King," was a prominent American composer and bandleader of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
