SURREY, BC – Russell Brewing has announced the release of a new beer that is loosely inspired by the ancient days of brewing.
Red Ale (5.2% abv):
Humankind’s first liquid resembling beer was produced in Ancient Egypt, made of grains such as spelt and emmer, and fermentable additions could include honey and crushed dates, to create this Elixir of the Gods. The preferred brews were red in colour and were packaged into potted beer jars. Well…. modern times call for modern ingredients…. so we didn’t use any of that. We chose instead some fine toasted and caramel malts, new-age hops, an ..read more

HAMILTON, ON – Fairweather Brewing has announced the release of a new collaboration with Badlands Brewing.
No Country Alsatian Pilsner (5.5% abv):
We both took turns at an Alsatian Pils – ours is brewed with Franco Belgian pilsner malt and French Strisselspalt hops. We wanted to keep a firm bitterness to give the beer a little backbone, otherwise, we tried to really strip it back and let the ingredients shine through. It’s a delicious, crisp, elegant lager with a beautiful floral bouquet, and complex malt profile. All this makes for a lovely little conversation piece of a beer ..read more
