Equinix has acquired three data centres in the Philippines from technology solutions provider Total Information Management (TIM). The three carrier-neutral facilities include over 1,000 cabinets of capacity with space for further expansion. Existing customers of TIM will now gain access to Equinix’s global platform of companies, including more than 2,000 networks and 3,000 cloud and IT service providers. The first data centre on Yondr Group’s London campus is now ready for service, providing 20 MW of capacity in its first phase. The data centre in Slough, West London, which will provide 30 MW of IT load once complete, is Yondr’s first facility in the UK. A second 30 MW building is also under construction on the site. The London campus will provide a planned total of more than 100 MW once fully operational, and will be the largest data centre campus in Slough. CyrusOne unveils new data centre in Frankfurt, Germany

CyrusOne has broken ground on its latest German data centre, located in the Frankfurt Westside industrial park. The new facility – FRA7– will be built on a 63,000 sqm plot as part of a commercial and industrial mixed-use regeneration project, managed by BEOS AG and Swiss Life Asset Managers. According to a statement by CyrursOne, FRA7 will be able to deploy up to 40 MW of waste heat to Frankfurt Westside’s heating network when the data centre is operating at full capacity. AtlasEdge has acquired two data centre sites in Lisbon, Portugal, which will offer a more than 20 MW of capacity combined.
