Hello,
I've always wanted to build an expedition truck, and now with the coronavirus, I've found myself with a lot of free time. Unfortunately for at least until this epidemic is over I can't actually start construction. However, I'm going to use the time to plan every detail in explicitly. I'll use this thread to keep track of my thoughts.
I've chosen the Fuso Canter 4x4 as a base vehicle due to the fact it is very popular in Australia, and a number of companies nearby (Brisbane)...

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster.
I recently found and purchased a 2008 Mitsubishi FG140 in very good condition and very low miles, very happy with what I ended up with. I plan on removing the dump body and building it up from the chassis.
Once built this truck is gonna spend its entire life off road and I wanted to delete/ block off the EGR and delete the DPF for improved reliability amongst many other reasons.
If anybody could point me in the right direction in how to do...

Hi!
First post here but I'm looking into Mitsu Fuso or Isuzu NPR maybe for a build but I really wonder about the cabin height. I'm a tall person, about 6'5" (200cm) and I'm afraid that my head will almost touch the cab ceiling and the top of the windscreen will be at my eye level...
Does anybody have experience with this? There are currently no Fuso's near me to check it out myself.
Thanks ..read more

Hi Guys! Hope you are doing fine!
So I came across this article:
Featured Vehicle :: 2006 Mitsubishi Canter 4x4 FG649—Trucking OZ - Expedition Portal
Trucking Oz are currently overlanding Australia in their Mitsubishi Canter 4x4. Owner Ori discusses the build and his thoughts on adventure.

And I got very excited about building myself family overlander.
Here in Canada we don't have many options for double cab 4x4 and I figured I have to look into JDM
From what I can see my best choice will be ex firetruck. Low kms and not overpriced in general...the question is why the ..read more

Looking for the inner wheel stud size (size and thread) if anybody knows it. Specifically the size and thread of the studs that the Budd studs bolt onto. Won’t have time to take the wheels off to measure myself for a few days since the Fuso works 24/7.
Think I may have explained that poorly but can clarify if needed. Thanks ..read more

I found the link to this video cleaning out emails and watched it several times. To the best of my knowledge, only one of these was built. EarthCruiser is shutting down, Fuso has left the US and the push seems to be for $250,000 Sprinters, $100,000 Jeeps and $750,000 behemoth rigs such as GM 6500s and 27-foot long F550s, that simply do not perform well off road, for many reasons.
This on the other hand, seems to do it all. Make the rear box into a hard or soft-wall pop...
