Hello everyone,
I've got a 98 NPR converted to a camper, With a 4bd2tc in it, and the guy who sold it to me I think concealed some issues (white smoke on cold start) unfortunately. I poked around trying to diagnose issues in the preheating system for a while, and eventually took it to a mechanic because I couldn't figure it out. The results weren't great, low compression on cyl 1, as well as the fuel injector pump needs a rebuild and so does each individual fuel injector.
As I was leaving...

I have interference between my front drive shaft and the back oil filter. I removed my front driveline 7 years ago.
I now want 4WD. I couldn't find good info on solving this problem, so I thought I'd post my discoveries so far.
The front filter looks like it's going to collide with the front axle diff (pumpkin), but it hasn't yet, although I don't have 4wd, so haven't pushed too hard.
Front filter has the little orifice, and I ordered the Baldwin B222 filter that's only 3-3/16" tall...

When I bought my donor vehicle (72 Wagoneer) every bit of wire in the rig was removed. Along with the dash, interior, front clip, etc. The original 72 Jeep wiring system was based on all "in-line" fuses and very simple (and dangerous). The Full Size Jeep forum guys say it's not a matter of if, but when there's an electrical fire with the original wire harness.
On my first attempt at wiring this up I decided to buy a 91 Cherokee fuse box and use that package to adapt to the Wagoneer...

I did this swap starting in 2017, driving by 2019.
Motor has leaked constantly. Has been coming from the rear main seal area and I just didn't want to deal with it.
I'd leave a 2-4" dot of oil wherever I went. Read countless posts about seals, seal brands, whatever.
Now that my business failed/closed, I have a lot more time on my hands. Today I dove in.
I'm covered in oil. This leak has pissed oil all over the underside of my Wagoneer for 7 years, 25,000+ miles.
I got to the flywheel...

Hey guys, I'm working on doing a PSC hydro assist on my Jeep. I'm looking around for some specs to give PSC to help figure out if it will drive their steering gear box and the hydraulic ram.
On the factory service manual I could only find 2 specs
70psi @ 800rpm
1493psi @ 2000rpm
Anyone know what the GPM spec is ..read more

Hey all!
Currently I'm missing some relays from the starter box on my 98 NPR (4BD2T), Does anyone have a photo of the correct relays to put in?
Specifically I'm missing J-14, j-16, j-18 and j-20 in the FSM. (Glow-2, engine warming cut, exhaust brake control, and ID light), the FSM also doesn't specify which color (MR5C black or brown) goes in which slot.
If your relay box is correct id love a photo of which color relays are there.
Thanks so much for the help ..read more

Hello,
Before I start tearing into this, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what happened. I have a '74 f100 with a 1980 industrial 4BD1 motor with SAE 3 bellhousing, that uses an advanced adapters ranger overdrive to connect to my NP435 manual trans.
I was driving the other day and under load in 3rd gear I heard a pop or snap, and I lost my clutch. I limped it home but now I'm trying to figure out where the failure happened. I still have pressure on my clutch pedal and it feels...

I earlier posted this in general without remembering that we had a specific board for Isuzu 4BDs
so, I ask again
I am looking for recommendations for a shop located gulf south or so, if none exist then is there a shop that stands out as a premier place for an overhaul in the U.S. ?
A shop technically proficient in this engine so I can ship it and get it returned to me ready to reinstall. I unfortunately do not have the available time to do myself, or I definitely would. I already have...

I pulled the pan on my 4BD1T to check the bearings before I started the install. I’m trying to find a replacement oil pan gasket but a quick Google search reveals a variety of gaskets with different part numbers. Which gasket do I need?
Also, when looking for parts I thought it would be a good idea to get the VIN off of the donor truck. In the pic is the sticker inside the driver’s door jam and is the only place I’ve been able to find the VIN. The problem is, I’m having trouble reading the...
