      The streets of downtown Orlando, Florida were barren at 5:30 pm on a Sunday night. Partly due to the city’s crackdown on a nightlife scene that has gotten a bit out of hand. The new restrictions have the city parking garages closed to incoming traffic on weekends at 11:00 pm. Another contributing factor was it was Father’s Day, June 16. 2024.       Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, California on June 9, 2024, featured a great lineup and a great crowd. The show featured No Lights and the English group The Chameleons, and it was quite a spectacle. Despite starting late at 9:00 pm on a Sunday night, no one seemed to mind.     The newly remodeled venue,  The Plaza Live, in Orlando, Florida hosted a great night of rock and roll with two bands that got their fame in the 1970’s.     The crowd filed into Rupp Arena, excited for what they knew would be an amazing show. At exactly 7:00 PM, the lights came up on the opening act, folk singer/songwriter, Ellie Holcomb. Her lilting voice filled the arena and the crowd was receptive to the country-style set. She opened with “I Don’t Want to Miss It,” which was an upbeat song that the crowd loved.
