Fighter of the Month – Junto Nakatani Junto Nakatani became a three-division world champion last Saturday with an emphatic stoppage victory over WBC champion Alexandro Santiago. Fighter of The Month: Artur Beterbiev With his seventh-round TKO victory over former 168lb champion Callum Smith, Artur Beterbiev is our fighter of the month for January of 2024. In the first few seconds of the fight, he asserted himself and landed a flurry that backed Smith up against the ropes. The 2023 Pan American Games concluded this past weekend in Santiago, Chile. The tournament is part of the qualification process for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The boxers who advanced to the final round of the tournament automatically qualify for the 2024 games, and we had five American boxers accomplish that impressive feat this past week. Last Wednesday, Jajaira Gonzalez (Montclair, Texas) was the first member of Team USA to become a 2024 Olympian. The 2023 Pan American Games officially kicked off today from Santiago, Chile. There are thirteen boxers, six female and seven male, that are representing the United States in the games and hoping to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games.
