23 January 1959 – 19 April 2022 Sandy sadly passed away peacefully in hospital surrounded by her family. She had been battling cancer for more than two years. She was a member of the Hockeyroos team that won Australia’s first Olympic gold medal in the sport at the 1988 Seoul Games. She captained the Hockeyroos from 1985-86 and competed at the 1984 Los Angeles Games. From 1981-88 she earned 105 Australian caps.
