Wodapalooza (WZA) is a fantastic 4 day Fitness Festival in beautiful downtown Miami and I've been fortunate enough to just complete my fourth competition there. WZA has grow tremendously and just celebrated their 10th year with this 2021-22 season. As an Adaptive Athlete, WZA played a critical role in the efforts to get Adaptive CrossFit in to the CrossFit Games. WZA is a both a leader in the sanctioned CrossFit games space and one of the best places to see top CrossFit talent. To continue…Rich completed his scaled WOD3 in the morning and submitted all three scores. Yolanda came in at 10AM and crushed hers and got the data uploaded. Heather got hers done after Yolanda and Blake finished strong at 4:30 re-doing WOD1 and scorching past his first score!
So, Mr Bloody Mary-Man, aka #MasterOfPuppets, Zach did make it to gym at 6AM and he owned WOD3 like we knew he would, and at RX, not scaled! So, before 7AM, he did a 600’ shuttle run, then 60 Pull-ups, another 400’ shuttle run, then 40 Chest-To-Bar Pull-ups, and got most of the way through the 200’ shuttle run. Zach comp ..read more

Apogee’s Wodapalooza Pursuit 2022-23
Week 1 of Online Qualifiers
Wodapalooza’s 2022-23 Online Qualifier started on Thursday Sept 15 when the first 3 workouts were released. This year CrossFit Apogee is working to land 5 athletes in Miami, each competing as individuals in 4 different divisions. The actual competition is in January in downtown Miami at the BayFront Park and Amphitheater on Biscayne Bay - and it is an awesome time! There is a “challenge” going around known as “75Hard.” It is said to be a Mental Toughness challenge. If you take on 75Hard you are committing yourself for 75 days in a row to:
Drink a Gallon of plain water a day
Follow a diet (of your choice) – No Alcohol nor cheat foods
Two 45 minute workouts a day- one MUST be outside
Take a progress picture each day
Read 10 pages of self-development (non-fiction book)
You must complete all tasks each day. No substitutions, no excuses for anything and no “almost did it” either. “Water” means plain water, no mixes. “Read a book” means paper book in hand, n ..read more
