Chris: I joined the CFP community 4 years ago, a dad of a 2-year old with another on the way. I saw a picture of myself on the beach and knew something had to change. I found CFP from a Google search, sent Z an email, and within 24 hours I had done my first workout and was back sitting in my car praying I wouldn’t throw up. I was hooked. The workouts and the challenge to always get better and always be pushed, were what got me in the door, but they’re only part of why I love CFP. The community, the friends I’ve made and the support I’ve received from everyone I’ve met, is why I’ve kept coming ..read more

A knee surgery caused me to give up playing co-ed soccer for a few months.  During the rehab of the knee I got into fitness, training 4 days a week to make my body a complete machine.  I lost about fifteen pounds and got down to about 12% body fat. When I got bored of doing the same gym exercises, I thought “Now that I have this awesome body, how can I  challenge it?”  Enter CFP.  I have been a member of CFP for almost six years now.  I have found a great mental and physical challenge in CrossFit.  I spent a couple of years with the Comp group, but a sho ..read more

In 2014, I walked into a CrossFit gym near home looking for a personal trainer because my work schedule was messing with my fitness.  During the gym tour, we walked out back, and there it was – one of those GIANT tires. I said:  “Oh I want to flip THAT someday!” Fast forward to 2021, and here are some reasons I’m still drawn to CrossFit: I can’t think about much else while I’m doing the WOD because of the intensity. I love that reprieve from my stressful career and/or a bad day. Scaling is a great equalizer – male, female, young, old, challenged. I have MS and it impacts my balan ..read more

My experience with Crossfit was nothing I expected. I got into Crossfit because a friend of mine told me it is my type of workout routine so I decided to give it a try for a week and see if it was for me. When I first arrived I had a mindset of using Crossfit as a supplement to getting back into shape and make my return to soccer to at least play at a semi-competitive level but after just one week I fell in love with it and soccer ended up being a supplement to get better cardio for Crossfit. I started taking exercise more seriously in my teenage years and I discovered that I loved pushing mys ..read more

Olivia: CrossFit has changed my life in many ways. Before coming to CrossFit I thought I didn’t have time to work out and I was always stressed out. Because of this, I can say CrossFit has not only helped me physically but mentally as well. I have been so much more motivated and productive since I started coming to CrossFit, I get so much more done at work and at home. It has also helped me with my back, mobility, and it has helped me build my endurance. I feel healthier and overall good about myself. I look forward to continuing to work hard to meet my fitness goals. Joshua: From the first da ..read more

I always wanted to have the right kind of routine in my life and have struggled to have a lifestyle that could fit my Fitness routine seamlessly, and still be able to feel like it’s not affecting my family/leisure time. “CrossFit Pleasanton” fits perfectly into my lifestyle and I’m glad I chose this place, I cannot rave enough of how awesome my coaches are, helping with the right way of doing your sets, patient to watch, and correcting you if needed be. Fellow members are friendly, always encouraging, almost feel like a community. I didn’t realize it’s been more than a year now, I am proud to ..read more

My first time stepping into a CrossFit gym was in October 2018, after spending some time doing powerlifting and fitness routines on my own. I decided to come to CFP insight of greener pastures and I’m so glad I did. The coaches are incredible, and the community of members is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. With the help of CFP, I have lost 30 pounds and have never felt or looked this great; I can only hope to become stronger and I believe it’s because of CrossFit. Being a part of the CFP Corps has been a huge motivator for me, as well. I can’t wait to see how I evolve in the future as a ..read more
