I recently bought a Beelink Mini S mini PC. I connected it (HDMI 1) to an LG TV (HDMI 1). Video and audio were fine. The Mini S comes with Windows 11 installed, which is too resource intensive for this little machine (the cursor would be seriously lagging at times) and the fan is constantly running at full speed. Thus I decided to install Linux. However, while connected to the TV I could not access the bios - at least, I could not view the bios screen. Apparently the TV screen only became active after the OS had started.
I connected the Mini S to my ASUS computer monitor, was able to access ..read more

It has been going on for man years for me, this is why I learned linux. I have some infection in my ACIP tables, not sure and thats why I want someone to have a look at my first journal after installation of Makalulu Linux based on Ubuntus.
Let us start with your checking the log file and what it does with my bios, just ask my anything. This has been a project and a issue for a few years now. I just want to have a normal working pc that I can use fully.

Hello,
Well, I'm trying to install the GD library to convert images from PHP, the thing is that I have tried several ways and nothing.
I have Ubuntu 16.04 with PHP 7.4.13, so I don't have much knowledge with bash.
I have tried to install it this way:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install php7.4-gd
sudo systemctl restart apache2
apache2 service restart
I get this response:
unable to locate package php7.4-gd
couldn't find any package by glog
couldn't find any package by regex
I read that I should update the repository or add the appropriate one, and I tried:
sudo apt-add-repository pp ..read more

Hi,
From one boot to another my BIOS suddenly thinks that my ubuntu is on NVME0n1, where Windows is installed, instead of NVME1n1.
I ran bootrepair, which is not able to fix my issue because of locked NVRAM. Found other threads about it, but those did not work for me.
I post the whole summary, but first the important part of it. BOOT004 is my Ubuntu distro, its pointing on UUID of WIndows (BOOT005):
Code:
BIOS/UEFI firmware: N.1.07A01(5.19) from American Megatrends International, LLC.
The firmware is EFI-compatible, and is set in EFI-mode for this live-session.
SecureBoot disabled (confir ..read more
