I am about to do 500 k of the Camino Frances from Burgos to Santiago ... I haven't seen many posts recently regarding Covid issues ... but here in Australia there are still many infections... have any pilgrims been infected lately and what do they do about this situation sleeping in hostels etc? So as not to infect others but also how to get help on the route ... perhaps even find alternative accommodation so as not to be a bother to others while recovering ..read more

COVID is alive and doing it's thing on Camino ... Be aware and careful..specially if bathroom seems wet and crowded don't go there and wear masks in large mixed dormitories. Love, blessings and Buen Camino ..read more

The current, remaining vaccination requirement to enter the US -- for example, upon return from a Camino -- for non-citizens will end on May 12th, along with all other remaining Federal covid mandates in the country ..read more

I see some COVID related posts, but they are all pretty old. I am un-vaccinated, and want to walk the Camino Frances in September. Are there any vaccination or COVID test requirements for entering Spain or France? Do you expect that I will encounter any problems as I walk the Camino? Covid news relevant to the Camino has become unusual.
Nevertheless, France was still requiring a 5-day self-isolation in the event of a positive test.

Are there any Australians who have entered Spain by air since 1 Jan 2023?
The official Spanish sites are a bit contradictory as to whether we require to present covid certification. one of the most official Spanish sites says yes we do (Australians don't get a special reprieve that some other countries do).
but when I read the Australian SafeTravel website they say Spain has dropped ALL covid requirement for Aussies.
has anyone traveled by air from Aus (or any non EU countries) recently...
