Got my first case of COVID. Started feeling crappy yesterday evening, persistent fever through the night (resistant to Tylenol), did a test first thing in the morning. Strong positive COVID line on the test.
Oh well, there goes my NOVID status. Feel like crap but nothing dangerous yet. Worst thing is this nukes my family's Christmas plans including visiting inlaws later this week. My wife's mother is in hospital for serious things and my wife was going to drive over there on Wednesday...

I’m curious how many “NOVID” people we still have at this point. Any no-COVID people who have never had COVID?
I’m one. I have never had a case of COVID that I’m aware of, and neither has my wife. We never had symptoms that prompted us to test for it. And none of the tests we were required to take or we took after possible exposures ever came back positive. Maybe we’ve had asymptotic cases, but there’s no way to know.

Myself and my daughter were vacinated almost a month ago to prevent any possibility of us bringing it in with us. Ironically they have implimented a mask policy to protect visitors rather than the other way arround. Apparently is the situation for most facilities ..read more

The medical field plus irrational hoarding by civilians looks to have put nitrile gloves in short supply. Harbor Freight used to be my go to, but last I checked, locations near me are wiped out. At the few stores that do have them, the price is 3X to 4X the pre-pandemic amount. Anybody have the skinny on nitrile gloves ..read more

Hi folks,
Here's a surprisingly accessibly-written article about the impact of COVID-19 on the immune system.
Does getting COVID really make your immune system worse? https://slate.com/technology/2023/0...ffic&utm_source=article&utm_content=web_share
While I read Slate mostly for entertainment purposes, sometimes they have a well researched article on a scientific topic. This article points to...
