I have Active Sky XP, but looks like that the development stopped, because I have a long time, without recent releases (the last was in 2020), and I still have the same cloud generator... HiFi said that will replace the X-Plane Weather generator was expected to Q4 2019. I have upgraded to x-Vision v2.0 using the "Impressive" preset and has resulted in all but removing the cloud flashing issue that comes with X-Plane 11. I have not seen any flashing in most flights and it appears that it only occurs during changes in lighting. xVision greatly enhances the appearance of the sim making it look almost real. Hi I have noticed during some bad visibility approaches that the METER VIS was not set in the sim or only once over the Runway during landing ... eg EGGW 290120Z AUTO 05006KT 0600 R07/1400 FG OVC001 07/06 Q1023 and this was what the sim showed (ignore the A/C not set up right was just a demo flight to show the WX) … The Vis was fine and there's no over cast layer at 100 feet ,..
