One of the benefits to our stay at home order is that we have been able to see some brand new movies in the comfort of our home. We watched Disney’s Onward a couple of weeks ago when it premiered, and have been counting down the days to the Trolls World Tour premiere. Since the big day is here I figured I would share our at-home Trolls World Tour movie premiere party with our preschooler. Keep on scrolling down for some super fun ideas! I love doing movie nights as a family, and Aiden really likes them too. It is something a little different than the norm and allows us to change up our routin ..read more

The Covid pandemic has definitely changed a lot of plans this year. While I am thankful that we are all safe and healthy it has been disappointing to miss out on some milestones with Nolan including his first birthday with family and friends. I also wasn’t sure about a cake smash so we decided to do our own. I think it came out really cute so I figured I would share how I did mine and some tips for photographing your own first birthday cake smash at home. Tips for photographing a first birthday Bee Cake Smash at home: 1. Pick a theme I saw this My First Bee-Day outfit from Cuddle Sleep Dream ..read more

How are we already halfway through May? For some reason I thought with quarantine I might actually have some more time to spend on my blog. I had high hopes of increasing my posts to twice per week and sharing all the things we are doing around the house. Well it turns out taking care of a pre-schooler and toddler, trying to work while they are home and Dan is at work, and all the projects have left me very little extra time. So I am sorry for the silence, but I did want to hop on and share a fun activity we have been doing over the past couple of weeks that Aiden has been loving related to tr ..read more

This time last year we were getting ready to announce we were pregnant with our third child. We did not find out the gender for this pregnancy, so we went with an Easter themed pregnancy announcement that was gender neutral. I used these cute shirts from one of my favorite small shops Cuddle Sleep Dream: Mama Bunny Brother Bunny Baby Bunny We went to a local farm where they have beautiful peach blossoms that bloom in March. The farm does a cute Easter egg hunt, so we did that first with the boys which put them in a good mood for the pictures. I decided to get the baby onesie in a 12-month ..read more

It’s a bit hard for me to comprehend that it is already October. What a crazy year! October is my favorite month. I love the fall weather, everything pumpkins, and Halloween. Aiden was introduced to Mario Kart this year so naturally, he wanted to dress up as Mario with Nolan as his Luigi. As always, I like to make the boys costumes with things they can use again so I started planning. Here is how I made a Mario and Luigi costume for siblings with things we had or will use again. Mario and Luigi Costume for Siblings I shopped for red and green t-shirts from Primary because they have great basi ..read more

Dan and I have always wanted a dog, but being renters we knew it wouldn’t be the best idea. In our area, many rentable places do not allow pets, have restrictions on the types/breeds of animals, and/or have outrageous pet deposits or even pet rent. Since we were moving every 2-4 years we didn’t want to bring on a dog just to run into a situation where we couldn’t move into a potential home because of our pet. Now that we own our home and have been home much more due to Covid we decided now would be a great time to adopt a dog. With two small children, it took us a little longer to find our per ..read more

We are about six weeks into our quarantine now and I haven’t decided if things are getting easier or harder. In some ways I think we are finding our routine in this new normal, but I also think we are all getting tired of being stuck at home. Read more below about what our daily quarantine schedule looks like! For the first time last week I made a major mistake at work because of being home and distracted while trying to work. While I am so incredibly grateful to be fortunate enough to have a job that I can do from home it doesn’t make the situation any easier. I have been working from home fo ..read more
