For anyone else having the issues with ATC Pie solo sessions where no matter what you do or how you install the speech recognition & speech synthesis modules, it doesn't work, this is how I fixed it after 2 full days of troubleshooting: I've ONLY tested this on Ubuntu, I haven't had any luck whatsoever getting this to work on Windows 10 no matter the variation or versions. 1. Current bug aside, quoting the FAQ: The alarm triggers when the radar detects traffic stepping on a runway in either of the following situations: the runway is active (marked in use) and no strip is boxed for it; it is reserved but there is already traffic on the runway; it is reserved for a different aircraft: the boxed strip is linked to a contact that is not the entering aircraft, or the aircraft is linked to a strip different to the one boxed. Well, I think it isn't a runway incursion per se (I know, details, but maybe a future feature request to also allow this behavior). It would be the equivalent of the "Behind ( landing | departing ) Lufthansa 747 line up and wait runway 27 behind". I can imagine that the "Behind" part is tricky, as the aircraft implementation would have to be aware of the other aircraft and observe their behavior somehow to know that their landing or departure is through, but the scenario "Plane A has landed and is rolling out and I give the line-up clearance to Plane B already" is a reasonable use-case. Hi, I've just started to use ATC-pie and I have already seen multiple crashes, probably related to the implementation of the Runway Incursion Warning. I haven't done a lot of digging yet, but from what I have observed in the crashes, that at the time of the crash two planes are on the runway (one has just landed and is rolling off, the second one got the line-up clearance) The program throws this error: Code: .... I'm trying to use the "Voice synthesis" feature in the "Pilot communications" section of the Solo simulation options but all I hear is a "gear changing" noise. I can get the WILCO beeps and the text but no sound. I've installed the "pyttsx3" module and I get no errors during startup. I get the same on Windows and LINUX.
