Sony Bravia 75L vs 74K, is there any significant difference?

I want to buy 43 inch TV. I'm little confused between choosing 75L and 74K. The main difference I see is: 75L has Motion Flow XR200 whereas 74K has Motion Flow XR100 75L has ALLM, 74K doesn't. Does it make much of a difference for casual gaming? Is it the same as the "Game mode" in 74K? 75L supports eARC, 74K doesn't. How much of real-life difference would it make when I connect my PC and Playstation (if I get one). 75L is 2023 model, 74K is 2022 model. Pricing: I'm getting 75L for 46.5K inr and 74K for 38k inr. Do these differences on paper actually matter in real-life? do both have same p ..read more

I have the dreaded Samsung TU7000 for a year and a half now, and thought it was fine but browsing this sub made me think otherwise. I started looking for a new tv because I’m eyeing a PS5 Pro that will probably release by the end of this year and would like to game wth 120fps I currently game on a Xbox Series X and don’t plan on getting rid of it. I stream my movies and shows via an Apple TV 4K box that’s connected to a Phillips Hue Sync Box where that is connected to the tv to sync lights (Xbox is connected to this too, some examples on my page). Whenever Phillips releases an upgraded sync b ..read more

Thinking of pulling the trigger for A80L today. However, Memorial Day is in a month. Anyone know if Sony/Retail Stores have good sales for their 2nd best OLED for Memorial Day. I know we can't product the future, but I'm more looking at in the past. Was there good deals for the A80K last year or the A80J the year before? I initially thought yes, but it looks like the A80L will be continued for 2024 as well. submitted by /u/tr1ssle [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

OTA program information is incomplete

Every TV station broadcasts basic program info (short synopsis). Internet connected TVs apparently grab more details such as thumbnail and list of cast in the program. Well, used to. I have an LG UF7300 that's 10 years old and has always shown that info - up until March 1, 2024. Since then the cast is screwed up, showing seemingly random names not connected to the program. LG told me my TV is 'broken' (bogus). So I went out and bought a new LG TV and it doesn't list the cast AT ALL! What's up with that? Besides buying and trying every other brand out there, is there some way to determine what ..read more

Do I understand burn correctly?

I'm looking at getting a c3 later today and want to make sure I fully understand burn in. From my understanding it's when the pixels showing a logo/HUD degrade faster then the rest of the panel. I understand there are protective features on the TV that can help negate it but not fool proof. My original concept of burn in (before research) was if you watch anything with a static logo for 8 hours a day and nothing else it would happen, but for example if you play the same game for 5 hours then stream a show for 2 hours you will be okay cause the pixels that were displaying were the hud was woul ..read more

Is the Sony X77L good? Suggestions?

I’m looking to buy a new tv as my 2012 Samsung 60” is “on life support” as my wife put it. We’re thinking our budget for the tv should be around 1000-1200 but I’m trying to convince her we need a 75”. The one that’s stood out to me so far is the Sony X77L. 900 for the 65” and 1300 for the 75”. Likely get it at Costco. We use it mostly for streaming (Netflix/prime/etc) and some gaming. Nothing too heavy. I’ve gone through the buy guide pinned and have more questions than answers. Any help is much appreciated! Not sure when the world of tv’s got so complex. Thank you! submitted by /u/caeox [vi ..read more

Judder reduction leading to flickering beneath/above the top/bottom frame of movies/series

Hey folks I currently have some problems with my TV. They exist as long as I can remember but it never really bothered me that much, but now while watching the Fallout nuke scenes it really pisses me off. I use a Samsung GQ55Q60R TV. I do have following problem: normally I use judder reduction on my TV at like 3/10. But this leads to flickering right beneath/above the black frame of movies/series. It's just like the first two pixel rows beneath/above the frame are flickering but it is really noticeable. It's also not in every scene but i. e. The nuke scene in fallout causes this. In fact this ..read more
