HD series 3. Replaced power supply and hard drive. Had to do clear and delete. Now says cable card invalid. Was working before replacing parts. Tried cable card in another series 3, I picked up. Got same message. Seen a lot of threads on this problem. Anyone have a solution? I have 2 series 3 with lifetime service. Not much good to me without working cable cards ..read more

In the past when one of my Tivos starts rebooting, I just install a new Weaknees hard drive and it's fine for a long time. I just did this again but the unit still reboots once a day by itself. It is pretty old. Is there anything else I can try ..read more

Model TDC652 I just replaced the HDD and did a clear and delete. Now I'm in the guided setup screen to enter zip code and ( I tired 90001, 00000, 84109 zip codes ) and it tells me to tried another zip code. I also did a kickstart 52 & 57 to no avail. Any other suggestions? Thanks ..read more

I have 2 TiVo HDs (652s). One reboots or freezes multiple times a day. This has gotten steadily worse since I got it in Dec 2103, when it would reboot once every couple months which I thought that was just normal activity. I've replaced the hard drive with 2 other drives, one new and one previously used in a cable DVR. I've swapped hard drives and power supplies (both are 3Y supplies) between TiVos. Hi, I have a Tivo HD with lifetime service, and I think the hard drive is failing/dead. It get stuck at "Welcome. Powering up..." and never moves past it. I also have a Tivo Premiere XL which I am paying $12.99/month for service on. This is frustrating because I really only need 1 Tivo. What is the simplest path forward to revive the Tivo HD? I've got a TiVo HD TCD652160 that once was running its original 160 GB HD and a 500 GB My DVR Expander. Previously, I believed one or both of those drives are bad because startup did not advance past the "just a few minutes more" screen without trying to reboot. So, presuming the original drive was still good, I cloned the original 160 GB HD onto a new, WD Purple 1 TB drive. S3 652, with a newer HDD (maybe 3-4 years old), a visually inspected PS (no bulged caps or any other visual issues (yes, that isn't foolproof), and no other known issues; it records, plays back, updates ok. Numerous recordings Is there any chance a C&DE could clear whatever the issue is other then components or bad solder joints ..read more

I'm working on a S3 for a family member that I setup many years ago, it has been off line about 3 weeks or so for a unclear reason, possible re-booting. In the mean time I forced a connection twice to update the Guide data, it didn't take the 1st time. That went ok, full guide. I did a Network test, that passed, but I get a error for the Video on Demand (which I have never used that I remember when I had two of these). It's looking for port 5223 to be open in the Router. Dear Folks, I have a Series 3 Tivo, model #TCD652160. I sent it to Weaknees for a new power supply and hard drive. When I got the unit back, when I got to the cable card menu, I got the message that the cable card was invalid. I've tried about five cable cards, including two that were sent from Xfinity, who said the the cards are activated and in the system, but whenever I tried to use the guided setup, I keep getting the invaid cable card message, so I cant get what I need to use my TiVo... invalid cable card ..read more
