Who is Asia Ray?
I am a very personable person, and not afraid to talk with anyone. I love trying new foods rollerblading and dancing. I am also a diehard anime fan. Like many other people/athletes I am extremely hard on myself, I want to be MY best in every aspect of life.
Give us some insight into your rehabbing
I am rehabbing my ACL on my left leg. I got surgery on May 9th, 2022. As you can expect with ACL reconstructions, it will take 8 to 12 months before I can compete again. Currently, I am doing at home exercises 2-3 times per day and going to a physical therapist 3 times a week. I am g ..read more

Avery started wrestling in 8th grade & fell in love with wrestling. She is a 2X State Champion & 4X State placer in wrestling from Lucas Lovejoy High School (TX). She is currently ranked 8th in country at 112 pounds. Avery is not only a wrestler, but she also competes in Lacrosse, cross country, track (300m hurdles and 4x400) and field (pole vault). She is also a member of the National Honors Society.

Massoma just finished his 2nd season as the National Runner up & 2X NJCAA All American at 197 lbs. for Iowa Lakes Community College. What is more amazing about these All-American accomplishments is that he has only been wrestling since his sophomore high school (Arlington Bowie HS, TX). Massoma also placed 5th at 160 lbs. during his high school senior year.

Q.You have been competing since you were seven, what inspired the journey? What about MMA attracts you?
a. I’m a twin, and my sister is a special needs individual. When we were much younger, she was bullied and that just didn’t sit right with me, it still doesn’t. My aunt’s old friend opened up a martial arts school in my neighborhood, I convinced her to let me try a class, and I’ve been training ever since. Q. How did you begin your wrestling journey, how old were you when you started?
a. I began my wrestling journey when I was six years old, my father started me early, being a wrestler himself and placing second at the olympic trials. I started practicing at age six then competed in my first tournament a few days after my seventh birthday.

a. I love the grind. Nothing compares to the sport of wrestling when it comes to mental and physical toughness, you have to be a little crazy to pursue this sport and that’s why I love it.

Q. How did you begin your wrestling career, how old were you when you started?
a. I started wrestling in eighth grade. I had just quit the swim team and my parents wanted me to be involved in a sport so I started wrestling with my brother at the club that is now rise. My brother Nate inspired me to wrestle because he made it look so fun I loved how competitive and challenging it was.
