My Old Husqvarna 136 didn't get much use in the past few years. I need that saw running this summer though.
But it has other ideas. I starts right up and runs great for a couple of seconds and quits abruptly. After restarting a bunch of times I could get it to run wide open by opening the choke just right. I got it warmed up doing that but as soon as I open the choke it quits.
OK So I checked for a plugged fuel filter. And found the fuel line had broken off the filter. I replaced...

Ran good 2 months ago, but since then developed more carb issues despite being rebuilt with a genuine Walbro kit and I think it lost spark. Was converted to electronic ignition. Brand new Stihl chain and Stihl Light 04 bar. $20 price reduction if you don’t want the bar/chain. I don’t really want to get rid of the saw, but could really use the money more. I’m just looking to get back what I paid for it. Price is $120 if picked up in central or northern Wisconsin. Or an additional $20 to be...

I have a Rancher 55 have used for at least 10 years always easy to start - did not use last year but now when I try to pull the cord to start there is very hard to turn over the engine. I took the spark plug out and pulling the cord there is no resistance. Put the plug back in and there is so much resistance cant even pull full length of cord. Any help would be appreciated never had problems like this before ..read more

Greetings. I am trying to identify which ignition module I need to buy for my Husqvarna.
The logo on the side of the saw says 435, but the ID tag says "Husqvarna 440"
I bought the saw new and it has not been modified.
The husky website (husqvarna.com) provides different part numbers for ignitions modules for the 435 and 440. And of course the the site shows variations of 435
Has anyone seen this before? Do I have a 435 or 440?
Thanks ..read more

Hello All!
Well, I have 3 chainsaws: Stihl 310, 210 and Poulan M3816. The 3816 has the sprocket weared (due to the chain contact), and it's hard to find a replacemente in my country (Argentina), so would like to know if there is a similar brand-model that uses the same model of sprocket-clutch-gasket bearing. Kind regards in advance. Mariano ..read more

I think these are fairly simple questions but I'm fairly new to saws.
1. Can I change the existing chain/bar to 20in 72DL .050 3/8, or do I need to replace the rim sprocket a well ?
I see there are many more options to buy with the .050 as against my current bar .058 gauge.
2. Whats a good option to upgrade to a 24in bar/chain combo ?
3. Do the husky bars fit the MAKITA ?
Thanks
