Hi, We are Migrating to a new NGFW - Can we copy over the Profiles so they are the same or do we need to regenerate new profiles on the 2nd firewall? This will be a huge pain as its a backup firewall so if 1 is offline we want any VPN users to reconnect to the 2nd firewall. We have exported the clients page, group page and exported networks page. but the save button is greyed out ..read more

DHCP server not responding to requests

I have a fully licensed NGFW box at a local private school. This has been in place for a number of years and running without issue. Until just recently that is. For some reason the DHCP server (which is running on the NGFW box) stops responding to DHCP requests. Typically in the afternoons. No amount of restarting the NGFW box (including a full shutdown and removing power) gets it working again. Then, almost always, the next morning it will serve up addresses again until sometime in the afternoon. It is not running out of DHCP addresses as the scope has a space of about 230 addresses and only ..read more

Trying to install NGFW ISO via PXE

Hi, I have tried to initiate the Untangle installer via network using netboot.xyz. Since the installer used is the same for generating Debian images (https://github.com/untangle/ngfw_imgtools), I have attempted to modify the initrd to boot from the network. So far, using PXE, I've uploaded the ISO and kernel drivers in order to mount the ISO image of the installer. I managed to reach the "Configure the package manager" section, but the installer fails at this point and only allows continuing with installing Grub, but without packages like Chrome. untangle.ipxe Code: ... :boot imgfree kern ..read more

My home subscription will not auto renew at the end of May because of the timing of the End-of-Sale for Home subscriptions. I am curious to know what will actually happen on the day my subscription expires. Will I have to reinstall and reconfigure the free version or will my existing configuration of Interfaces, VLANs, Port Forward Rules, Filter Rules and Advanced Access Rules continue to work? From what I can see the main features I would lose by using the free version are the Web Filter and Policy Manager Apps. Am I right in assuming that any defined Policies in Policy Manager will automa ..read more

Apache showing NGFW ip instead of machin IP

Looking at my Apache web log, I see my NGFW ip address instead of my computers IP address. Guessing when I request a page from my HTTP server, it's getting sent out of the network and back in so Apache sees the firewall ip address as the requesting machine. Can I make it show the local machines IP address ..read more
