Is the 4070 super a good purchase?

At the moment I have what I would call a “starter pc” just because it’s an okay prebuilt I got a few years ago during Covid. It’s got an rtx 1660 super and a i5 10400k I’m pretty sure? Currently building a custom pc on cyberpower and I know a 4070 super is an amazing upgrade but curious what your thoughts are submitted by /u/WSDelirious [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

RTX 4080 Super - First Ever GPU!

This is my first purchase of a GPU as I'm getting ready to build my first ever PC. I was debating on whether or not I should get a 4080 or 7900 XTX. I leaned towards the XTX because it was better "price to performance" as I kept seeing, but this this baby came out and I decided to get this instead. The unboxing experience was really nice. It's beautiful! submitted by /u/InfiniteMagnets [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

The psvr2 is getting pcvr compatability soon. I was looking at the rtx 2060 12gb. My pc is only lacking a gpu. Would this card match the performance for vr on the ps5? I seen one for very cheap at cex in the uk. submitted by /u/tommygun876 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

NVIDIA Broadcast / RTX Voice getting worse every year

Is it just me or is the broadcast software regarding noise filtering getting worse overtime since release? I haven’t switched settings, GPU nor hardware and noticed over the last years that less and less stuff gets filtered out compared to the original RTX VOICE software back then and the broadcast software I used the last years. Updated frequently, clean installed, nothing helped Anyone else ? Am I doing something wrong ? submitted by /u/alesia123456 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

PCIe A100 showing up as SXM in nvidia-smi

I made the grave mistake of buying an A100 from an eBay seller (do NOT buy this) without fully understanding what was under the hood of the GPU From the outside, it looks just like a PCIe A100, with NVlinks and all Generally, the chip inside seems to perform as expected from an A100 on single-GPU benchmarks and workloads. Nearly 1-1 with a "normal" PCIe A100 Problem is that this GPU is showing up in nvidia-smi as an SXM A100, not a PCIe A100 Because of that, we're getting an error from nvidia fabric manager because PCIe cannot support NVSwitch Anyone ever see anything like this? Three V-Sync questions
Reddit » NVIDIA

1- In many games optimisation guides, they say to turn on V-Sync directly in Nvidia control panel, then turn it off in the game. Always claiming the Nvidia option gives superior results. Is it true for all games ? Should it always be done ? If so, should V-Sync be set in global parameters instead of individual games ? 2- In some games, even with V-Sync turned on, the mouse feels as crisp and responsive as if i was outside a game. In other games however, it have a very bad feeling of smoothness/lag, which i would describe it as if i was moving the mouse cursor in an oily substance. Why does it ..read more
