Hope you can help. I'm looking for a card that can output 2x4k.and 1x5k2k monitors. It'll be an egpu and there is no need for gaming, it'll just be for productivity. It will need to be quiet, if it can be passively cooled better, oh and cheap as possible please. Anyone know of such a unicorn? Edit: I need the desktop real estate rather than it pushing any heavy lifting like blender or AI. submitted by /u/MrStu56 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

GPU causing sleep/wake issue?

My PC is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M720T running Windows 11 Pro and the GPU is a Nvidia Quadro K620. Since installing it, the monitor either will not wake once in sleep and I have to restart the PC, or it wakes very slowly. So far I have tried: Updating the GPU firmware and drivers Changing the BIOS default to PCIe 2.0 Disabling ULPS Reinstalling Windows I would really appreciate any advice! submitted by /u/ap1222 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Upgrading my PC from its current 1660 ti graphics card. Which do I get? Help me, I’m not smart with this stuff. Thanks!

Do I get the GTX 3060 12 GB or the 4060 ti 8 GB? For some reason the 4060 ti is only $90 more. Is that because it’s only 8 gb? Either way I expect either of these to be a big upgrade from my 1660 ti. So, which do I get? Also the only games I play are Call of Duty multiplayer, Warzone and Fortnite. Thanks! submitted by /u/KeithH27 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I am looking for a low profile mid tier GPU for my 2U rack server where the GPU can only be mount vertically on the motherboard directly and not horizontally on a riser. Hence I need a low profile GPU which maybe decently/relatively new; take 5-6 years for the definition of “new” coming from me. I am unable to find anything that’s worth the while. Please keep in mind that this will be used as a pass through GPU for one of my media transcode VM running on top of Proxmox as a hypervisor. Any advice is appreciated! Cheap card for 2560x1440 resolution display

I need a cheap card for 2560x1440 resolution. Not for gaming, just to display it. My background: I have a PC for work with Intel i7-7700, built-in GPU Intel HD 630. However, the main board has only DVI output, which supports only up to 1920x1080. I have a 27" 2560x1440 monitor and just want to be able to use it for work - I am working in IT so mainly for displaying code and diagrams. submitted by /u/szalejot [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

What is the cheapest modern card that would have better GPU rendering performance than 2x1080s?

Hey all, I recently purchased a 7950x to upgrade my system, and I'm still working with my old 1080. It seems like I can grab another used for under $200- I'm wondering how that would fare compared to any of the newer cards? For a similar price point, could I beat the performance gain? It's not for gaming- it's just to make use of GPU acceleration (maybe GPU rendering if it works well) when I'm rendering. For those familiar: I originally planned to use my system for Karma CPU, but if this helps, probably going to be switching to XPU. Anyone With A MSI 4070 Super Ventus 3X?

I'm wondering if anyone with a MSI 4070 Super Ventus 3X card could tell me how fast their fans spin (ie: the fan RPM) and their GPU temp when the card is being stressed with something like FurMark or a really heavy gaming session. Can't find any reviews that mention this so I'm hoping to get some data from users that have this card. submitted by /u/HarryMuscle [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
