I just built this computer for someone, specs at the bottom of post, and I have been running the usual stress tests, and monitoring temps in general (System, CPU, and GPU). Hey guys, It's been a while since I have posted on the forums. Over the past several weeks I have had some super strange behavior from my graphics card- GTX 2080 Super (EVGA). When starting from a cold boot, the GPU fans spin at 100% and the system will not POST. If I immediately power it off and on again it will POST as normal. Update: I kept doing heat and cooling down cycles and while I didn't do any exact logging of the temps with the GD900 thermal paste, but just by current and max temps after hammering it for 20~30mins, it's very noticeable now that PTM7950 is running at least a good 10c cooler. Overall, nice results! I wonder if I should try LM next up. Got a good ol' MSI 980Ti that cost me a fine dollar back in the day but nowadays serves me for experiments. I only have a few games that consume more than 8 GiB of VRAM and this is only on ultra settings: 1. I've noticed that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard regularly consumes nearly all the VRAM on my 1080Ti (after all who wants to skimp on texture quality for the lovely meals the Baker family consumes and stores in their refrigerators?). 2.
