tumbleweed without problems installed and in GUI started. So far it is the same problem. Monitor not identified. Resolution not settable. What kernel is it using? In what time frame a solution is normally to expect when I file a bug report? There is no "normal". Please read the link seasons provide to get an idea of what might be expected from you to help with the process. It might be time to file a bug: https://drm.pages.freedesktop.org/intel ... -bugs.html It is quite likely the developers will not have that hardware so quite a bit of work will be required from you. You did say it worked originally. I'm not sure what you are referring to here. I may have misunderstood the below. I thought the resolution changed when you hit revert. When I plugged it in I was very happy to see the Display program pop up and give me the option to mirror or extend the desktop, as well as indicate the physical location with regards to the primary. So I dragged it to its proper location and hit Apply. The picture started to flicker and tear, so I hit Revert. The only resolution offered is 640 x 480 @ 59.94 Hz. Apparently, over the years other have run into the message a ..read more

I'm on trial and error. Is there a chance with another distro to get it work? Someone reported it worked with opensuse tumbleweed. I'd try that. They have Live images under 1GB if you don't want to install it, or small network install images if you don't want to download the entire LiveDVD/USB https://get.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/ Statistics: Posted by seasons — Fri May 10, 2024 5:42 pm ..read more

Try this: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Config/Resolu ... esolutions Obviously, you need to use things specific to your setup, like.. Code: cvt 1280 1024 60xrandr --addmode DisplayPort-0 ... I don't know where that 2nd HDMI is supposed to be Probably internal and not physically connected. My 5600G on MSI B550 is very similar. xrandr says I have 1 HDMI and 2 DP connections, but the motherboard only has 1 HDMI and 1 DP. Will it be a chance to create "20-intel.conf" in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/ with some settings like? Is this in response to the previous post? Either way, I don't see any purpose to that xorg.conf snippet. i915 is already loading (and then failing), you only have one GPU, and modesetting is already the default Xserver driver for this GPU (but it needs the i915 module loaded to work) Statistics: Posted by seasons — Fri May 10, 2024 4:41 pm ..read more

Some users are reporting good results using Nvidia 545 with Mint 21.3. You could try that, Under "Drivers". Always make a new Timeshift first. Statistics: Posted by stevengarland — Fri May 10, 2024 1:33 pm ..read more

Sorry about that. The old system info paste has expired. Here is the latest data: https://pastebin.com/raw/06NPkUkY To clarify, I don't use desklets, those are default included desklets but they are disabled. I went ahead and deleted the Analog Clock from the system just in case and rebooted. I don't notice a difference. Statistics: Posted by hopsabilto — Fri May 10, 2024 12:55 pm ..read more
