Coroner confirms death of Springfield man found in residence fire

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon has confirmed the death of a Springfield man whose body was discovered during a structure fire yesterday evening at a residence in the 1500 block of South 8th Street in Springfield.  The coroner's office was notified and responded to the scene, where the individual was pronounced deceased.
