The World Youth Wingfoil Championships (GWA) took place in the Canary Islands in Santa Cruz de la Palma from June 29 to July 2. Despite pushing her progression at her home in Guadeloupe, this was Enoha’s first participation in an international competition. FreeWing Dream Team riders Orane Ceris and Fiona Wylde podium at the recent IWSA 6* Sardina World Cup event that took place in Cagliari, Italy from 18 -22 October, 2023. Riding in a perfect onshore breeze of 11 to 14 knots, over 100 wingfoilers from a variety of categories put on a fan-friendly spectacle at the Wingfoil Racing event, with Orane (Fra) taking second place and Fiona (USA) finishing fourth. Congrats Raimondo Gasperini (Ita-157) for placing second overall at the Italian WingFoil Championship, which took place this past weekend. This was an interesting competition as athletes were required to compete on stock gear. This past weekend, the Gorge Paddle Challenge celebrated its 12th year. This was my first time competing on the IWSA World Cup Series and my first time competing since my shoulder surgery over a year ago! I didn’t not have any expectations, my goal was to to have fun! I had a great first day of competition where I finished the day sitting in 3rd position overall. On the second day of competition, I had an even more incredible day!
