Customizing your Rear stabilizer to suit your riding style
While the hydrofoil front wing has a lot to do with the overall feel, speed, and stability of your ride, the stabilizer plays a key role in developing the dna or “flavor” of your ride. Experimenting with tails is a great way to help figure out what you like and don’t like about your foil’s ride, as well as better adapt your foil to the day’s current conditions. So, let’s dive into tails a little deeper and help unlock some insights into the riding characteristics you might feel just by looking at the tail itself.

How to Choose a Hydrofoil
If you haven’t seen or heard of hydrofoiling by now, we would highly suggest you take a look at what is going on in this space and how it applies to our wonderful world of windsports. Not only can you experience a flying sensation like no other, but it also drastically reduces your wind speed requirements and makes staying upwind a breeze. When you add on the layer of the rapid growth of winging, prone foil, and downwind SUP foiling it’s getting harder and harder to separate the world of windsports from the hydrofoil these days.

Most wingers know the benefits of having soft webbing handles. They provide a cushy suspension-like ride, limit grip fatigue, and allow wings to be packed down into a small convenient package.
But what are the benefits of rigid handles? That answer depends on your level of riding.
Beginner riders will benefit from the ability to roll their wrists up to keep the wingtips from touching the water.
This wingtip wrist control provided by hard handles solves one of the first frustrating issues with learning to wing where the wingtip hi ..read more

The Differences between the SlingWing V2 and the NEW Dart Wing
Wing design has come a long way since Tony Logosz designed his first Slingwing in 2011. Foiling had not hit its stride and blasting across the water on a traditional SUP didn’t pique the interest of many at Slingshot HQ. The design was shelved for years and this new sport sat dormant on a shelf in the back of the Slingshot warehouse. When the wing frenzy finally came to the masses the SlingWing V1 was launched followed immediately by a slew of Tony’s prototypes for the V2. They came ..read more

Migrating from Baja to Hood River with the Shred Sled 3:1 Hydrofoil board
On my annual migration North from Southern Baja to Hood River I got the chance to stop at the legendary windsurf spot, Punta San Carlos. The place features a half mile long, top to middle, peeling point break that is nice and slow – absolutely perfect for windsurfing and foiling. The main purpose of the trip was to take advantage of a strong overhead South swell forecast and get some serious windsurfing in at my favorite wavesailing spot.
Though the wave forecast was just about as good as it g ..read more
