Have you ever heard the famous saying that it takes a community to raise a child, well it’s the same for a plant? It also takes the efforts of an entire community to grow a plant. Our community of volunteers, around 65 volunteers who helped in growing our plants as well as organizing the sale, made this event possible. Project objective: Education & training of farmers in Lalgudi Taluk, Tiruchirappalli district, Tamil Nadu on Sustainable Organic Farming methods. This is the third year of the project and about 120 farmers are beneficiaries.

Going down the memory lane, the 10 photos below, from June 25, 2017 are a reminder to all of us about the power of collaboration. At the time, Save Indian Farmers was working with Deendayal Bahuuddeshiya Prasarak Mandal in Yavatmal district of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra India. Subhadhara village is located in the Hadoti region which is affected by drought frequetly and around ¾th of the population of the Hadoti area is dependent on agriculture & cattle rearing. The village having 150 Households, 1285 Population and village is tribal dominated thus more attracted towards indigenous technologies either in life-style or in occupation.
