Early yesterday morning, I started my work day from the wonderful chaos of my little office nook - a small desk tucked into the corner of our living room that has been slowly turning into a gigantic vision board full of mantras, dreams, and inspiring images. I knew that “ ” had worked its way up to the top of my to-do list. It had been on there for quite some time, but… I just kept putting it off because I knew it was going to make me cry ..read more

This was our first Zoom meetup since Jonie's birthday party way back in January, and also the first one I've hosted without Jonie in my arms for our group photo ? It was so fun to get to "meet" so many new Patrons in real-time - Lorraine joined us close to midnight in the UK, and Jess showed up in her housecoat at 8 am in Australia ..read more

It’s already been a little over two months since Jonie’s “ ”, and the more time that passes, the more I start to miss him. I thought it would be the opposite - that I would begin to miss him less and less as time went on. But the longer the stretch of time between when I last held him in my arms on April 28th and the present moment, the sadder I’ve been feeling. Thankfully, throughout the month of May, I received some incredibly thoughtful cards & gifts in the mail that continue to warm my heart, and I thought I would share them with you today ..read more

Jonie’s “Rainbow Bridge Appointment”, as I’ve been calling it, has been booked for April 28th at 12:15 p.m. Pacific Time. I feel so grateful to have connected with a mobile veterinary service here in the Kootenays, who will be coming to our little lakeside home to assist us right here on our couch. I want to invite you to participate in a “ ” for Jonas on the day of his journey to Rainbow Bridge, but first, I wanted to share the story of where the idea for a Virtual Vigil came from ..read more

This is a story about the significance of the people who are purposefully put on our paths; the magic of trusting and following our intuition; and the beauty of opening our hearts to the wonderfully curious, divinely timed synchronicities that present themselves to us when the veil is at its very thinnest ..read more

I took Jonas at his absolute worst - literally on the edge of death - and put him in a completely different environment, in a completely different province, and almost immediately, he got better. After sharing a little bit about this recently on IG - my sheer relief for being able to sleep, and for seeing him sleep - I woke up to an e-mail inbox and DM’s full of messages from people talking about our wood stove and the potential for mold and other air pollutants and allergens in our apartment in the Kootenays. I am completely mind-blown at how obvious this answer could be ..read more

It’s been six long weeks of trying to figure out the cause of Jonas’ non-stop coughing, hacking, honking, gagging, retching, choking, vomiting, severe and ongoing respiratory distress, and frequent syncope/fainting episodes. After an echocardiogram, a urinalysis, a full bloodwork panel, an oropharyngeal/laryngeal inspection, and both chest/neck abdominal CT scans requiring anesthetic, I’m a little relieved to say that we finally have a diagnoses ..read more
