Last year, Rancho Alegre applied for the Challenge America grant, which was offered through the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), to support the 2025 Rancho Alegre Conjunto Music Festival. We were awarded $10,000 through the program, funding for which has been frozen by President Trump since January 27, 2025. We have no updates from the NEA, and quite frankly, despite Federal judges ordering the funds' release, we do not expect this grant to ever come through.
To say this is frustrating, infuriating, and heartbreaking is an understatement.

Rancho Alegre Amplify Austin Day
We are excited to once again be part of the amazing Amplify Austin Day (donate here), 24 hours of giving to local nonprofit organizations presented by the good folks I Live Here, I Give Here. Our participation in this event saved our festival last year and we were honored to be included in their impact report last year.
Our goal this year is $5000 - giving through Amplify Austin has matching opportunities, so we encourage you to give through this day of giving. Be sure to use #lovetitos when you check out.
We'll also be live on Austin Public Channel ..read more
