I am still in research mode... still haven't spent any dollars...
Primary purpose of the scope... Visual astronomy and planetary/satellite astrophotography. Big thing for me is I want to be able to track ISS passes... get some good pictures of ISS. For DSO Astrophotography my current leaning is to follow Dr. Clark's DSLR approach. I understand not everyone agrees with that but for this post, I'm not concerned with DSO astrophotography. The purpose of this rig is ISS photos and visual astronomy.

Celetron astromaster 130eq teleskopuna sahibim ve cg-3 alman ekvatoryal gövdesine sahibim. Dec dairesini kullanabiliyorum fakat RA dairesini hala anlamadım. Örneklerle açıklayabilir misiniz?

I'm sure this community gets asked noob questions lke this all the time, so forgive me, but I really need help. My dad was gifted a Celestron Astromaster 70AZ refractor telescope a while ago and used it to have a look at Jupiter. It came with 10mm and 20mm eyepieces and that's all we have. He's only used it the once but says he wants an eyepiece for Christmas so he can see in more detail. He's told me exactly what he wants, this X-Cel LX 3x Barlow Lens.
I must stress that neither me nor my dad have any idea what we're doing. In attempting to do my own research I understand that this telescope ..read more

I’m looking at maybe getting a go to Equatorial mount, is there anything in particular that I should be looking at when it comes to specifically the computerized mounts?

So I took some photos of Jupiter with a refractor and deep sky camera app.
Are these the moons or lense flare? Also any help with exposure/general settings would be great , I am no photographer

Hey yall,
Just need some advice if ya can. I recently lost access to the telescope I was using and need to pick up my first 'own' telescope.
I'm mostly interested in DSOs with the odd star and planet thrown in for good measure. I'm starting an Astrophysics degree so being able to take filtered light images & spectrography of stars / nebula / galaxies is one objective alongside simply looking out there, this is my plan so far

Hey there everyone. I've recently discovered that it is possible to gain clear images of deep-sky objects and planets through astrophotography. I have started to gain an interest in it and have decided to purchase an astrophotography kit. The only obstacle is that my budget is $600. I have done my research but what I've learnt doesn't seem to be effective. That's why I am asking this question here. Could you guys help me possibly create a cheap astrophotography set that can fit within this budget? (I think I am fine exceeding the budget by around $50). If so, could you also list where I could ..read more
