Thanks for the support! I was extremely wrong in my Longitude parameter ( it had a + sign when it should be - )... something so basic and I didn't see it. Thank you Chris and Mark for your support. I attach the first image taken with my AM5: M104 from Bortle 7 sky with CLS filter in the flattener and with the L filter. I hope next week to go to Bortle 2 sky and for several days bring me as many images of this beautiful galaxy. Thank you again for your attention and clear skies!
Uupssss!
Thanks a lot Mark. I'll try it tonight. Clear skies

Hi Enrique,
Your longitude is set to EAST (+ in the mount driver settings), it should be WEST (- in the mount driver settings)! East puts you in southern China...

Hi Chris. I send the requested data. This problem occurs to me after changing the mount. My image to try to synchronize the mount with the region of the sky that my telescope was pointing was taken far from the Polar region, it was between Orion and Canis Maior if I remember correctly. With the Orion Atlas EQG I never had this detail. I don't know if any initial configuration should be done to the AM5 but I haven't found anything on the internet so far that indicates it other than connecting it and the routine configurations. Thank you so much. Clear skies.

Hi Enrique,
Welcome to the board,
Can you post your location settings in Tools > APT Settings > Location and where you are actually located at. Can you also post your full log. You can export it using the main tab export log file button in the lower left corner of that tab.

Hi Chris! thank you very much for your support. I am in Monterrey Mexico, the latitude and longitude according to my iPhone are: 25:37:40 N 100:17:19 W, am I okay? Thank you! Clear skies.
Hi Enrique,
Your UTC offset of -6 shows you in the US Central Time Zone Day light savings, northern hemisphere. The mount's longitude of +100 looks like you're in the Southern hemisphere. Confirm your mount settings match APT settings and match your actual location settings.
Clear Skies,
Chris

Hi everyone! I just bought my ZWO AM5 but I can't get it to move to the coordinates of any object and when I do (with M81) it positions itself in a very wrong direction. I don't have Asiar + so I control it with ASCOM and ASI Mount. The mount connects without problems to my APT software. I do the polar alignment with PoleMaster (adapt a 3D printed part to hold the pole). I think I have everything configured correctly in the ASI Mount and in APT, I mean location, date and time, etc. I attach images with the errors that the ASI Mount shows me. These errors appear when I click Sync in APT after d ..read more
