The cars used for the TV series were equipped with the 152-HP 5.8-liter Windsor V-8 engine for non-chase and non-stunt scenes, while the stunt cars were equipped with the 6.5- and 7.5-liter V-8s.
Here are the various stages of engine assembly:

Here is my take on the Polar Lights 2006 Ford GT Snap-Fit kit. The kit came with paper masks & the pinstripes to do the Gulf livery, but I thought that was kind of silly for a street car. I found photos online of a Mark II black car with white stripes, so that’s what I went with. Thank you Dixon66 for the Le Mans stripes. According to Pinnacle Motor Cars ( 2006 Ford GT | Pinnacle Motorcars) Ford made 292 Mark II Black cars, and only 182 of them had stripes.
Thanks for looking!

Photos are from Hobby Search…release date is May 2024 and price is $52.84 pre-order. (Note that Hobby Search is in Japan so the price may be cheaper in the USA).
The push bar is wrong says modelcarmag modeler, niteowl7710
“I’m kind of wondering if that Charger Pursuit parts has parts added to it to convert it to AWD because those are the AWD wheels it’s got on it. CHP just started getting AWD Chargers in 2023, not 2021. It’s more right than wrong I guess, but CHP has never used the Setina ram bar with integrated lights, they’ve have LEDs set up at 45° angles for about 15 years now (they go bac ..read more

Hi Guy’s
I have been absent, for quit a while, but now I’m back. Life gave me a few punches, nothing serious, but time and energy consuming. First my daughter and her boyfriend split up and my daughter moved back in her old room, which have been my hobby room, since she moved out, a few years ago. Fortunately they talked things through and moved back together(good thing, for we like the young man). Well I got my hobby room back and was ready, for modeling again. Didn’t get much work done though, before I had an accident. I was riding, my bicycle, home, from work and everything was fine, until ..read more

Has anyone built Tamiya’s Subaru BRZ (ZD8)? Can it be built with a left-hand drive, or is it only right-hand drive?
Thanks.

Hello everyone,
a new project after a long, difficult time.
A new kit from Nunu in 1/24. Nunu has been producing vehicles from the British Touring Car Championship for some time now.
A few weeks ago the kit of a Volvo S40 came onto the market, I had to have it. There’s also an Audi A4 coming out in January, which I also have to have.
1997 was the British Touring Car Championship at its peak. Mega exciting races, with many interesting cars, from many manufacturers.
Drivers with rough edges, who also liked to drive into each other’s cars. Not like today.
There is also an accessory kit from Nunu ..read more

Hello all!
I haven’t been spending much time on the site lately, so I suppose I should give an update.
I put the '59 Desoto on the back burner for the time being.
I just wasn’t feeling it.
So instead I decided to continue with my stable of '64 Pontiacs and go to work on this old derelict '64 Lemans convertible.
I’ll be finishing this in a full detail style, much like my last '64 Bonneville project, with plenty of parts swapping and scratch building.
Here’s what I’m starting with.
The chrome parts were re-plated some years back.
The color will be correct 1964 Pontiac “Singapore Gold” from Scale ..read more
