Hi All, recently bought this tub and it has shell issues and wondering if it's anything I can have repaired, has anyone ever seen issues like this, the clear coat has gone hazy in places and there are also little spots of bubbling. When you rub your hands on it you can't feel any obvious clear coat issues and it's not flaking or anything, I paid $2500 for it so I really don't mind as it's only 4 years old but just wondering if there is a solution...maybe the previous owner over chlorinated...

I have a very old Tiger River Spa. It has a Watkins Jet pump and Watkins No-Fault heater. It has been running with no issues for years. The other night we went to use it and water was lukewarm. I realized the breaker had tripped. When I tried resetting the breaker it keeps tripping. Doing a search online yielded the most plausible theory was a bad heating element. So I disconnected the hot from the heating element and still trips breaker. Then I reconnected the heating element and...

Got my new tub purged with AhhSome in Nov ‘23. Followed TFP protocol as best as I could. I did end up adding enzymes every 3 months and SLAM’ing 4 times in 6 months. Unicel filter cleaned and changed every month. AquaClarity used every week.
CH 150, TA 60, pH 7.8, CYA 30, Borate 50.
Just my wife and I using 6 days per week.
Finished my 6 month purge with AquaClarity.
Virtually no biofilm. The most biofilm was behind 2 of the headrests. Very impressed!!
Now, here’s the...

I recently (a few months ago) started assisting with pool operations at a small hotel. The person I assist told me that we have to add total alkalinity every morning to bring the levels up since the drop every day. For example, if I add bicarb in the morning and bring the level up to 80ppm (the level recommended by the state of WI), the next morning it will have fallen to around 20-30ppm. Not only that, but I have to add about double the amount I get from the formula in order to bring it up...

We have an inground spa. The jets run on their own dedicated pump separate from the filter pump. Water gets drawn from the spa's base, into the pump and pushed out the spa jets. A closed system but for the air inlet valve to agitate the water.
When I close the air inlet all but one of the jets stops aerating. One how ever keeps pulsating jets of air bubbles. Not intense like when it's fully open but enough to be clearly visible as a puff of bubbled air.
To me, as this is meant to be a...

I used to get my spa to 104 degrees but lately, it only gets to 102. Could this mean I need a new heater element or sensor? We do not have any minerals or such in our water. It is very clean so I know that is not the problem. I also inserted a resistor in the sensor line a couple of years ago so I can get the temp up to 104. I read that a filter not cleaned could also cause this problem but the water pressure coming out of the jet that comes from the heater is strong like normal. We have had...

I am very happy with my Bullfrog hot tub. I am very disappointed in the complete lack of customer service from Bullfrog corporate to even-return-an-inquiry to me, ever.
I am very curious if you have gotten responses from Bullfrog when you have either left a voicemail message or when you have sent a message via Bullfrog's website messaging page. Personally, I have never been gotten back to via either method, period. Before I purchased my 2023 Bullfrog A6L Select 1/6/24 (date I gave the...

Question - can you add bleach to a hot tub when people are in it? Dumb question probably, but I am only used to my 16,000 gallon pool which ill add bleach in the corner away from people. Just wondering if there are a lot of people in the hot tub and I want to sanitize in the middle of it do I need to have them all get out?

I just refilled the tub and cleaned it well about 2 weeks ago. I also replaced the filter. I balanced the chemistry and water was perfect. My kids got in the tub a few nights ago and I checked the chemistry the next day to make adjustments. PH was 7.2, TA 50, FC .5, CH 100. I made an adjustment to the CH and then shocked with dichlor. It’s been two days and still cloudy, but chemistry is good. What gives? I’ve never had cloudy water like this with this new of water. I’m wondering if...

Hi All - I am getting a gently used hot tub today - Jacuzzi J-355. I understand pretty well how to maintain the chemistry, main question is when I get the spa what is the first thing I should do? Should I fill it, use ahhsome, then drain and refill? Also any tips on cleaning solutions to use to give the cover a good clean?
