I run a commercial hot tub cleaning service for vacation rentals. Most of these tubs see a high volume of use and require at least weekly maintenance. This results in the use of more chemicals and higher overhead cost. Trying to save money here where I can. Has anyone experimented with any homemade alternatives to ph up/down, defoamer, or filter cleaner that would be effective enough for commercial use? Thanks in advance!

So we've hooked up what we thought was a very effective timber hot tub, out of a huge old wine barrel, a heat pump 11kw pool heater, a MASSIVE pool filter and a chlorinator. For the first few weeks, it was blissful, and worked a treat. Then we noticed the PULP. It seems like someone kept getting in the tub with a man sized kleenex in their pocket. Then we googled and apparently timber + chlorine = paper. So we gotta totally change it up. We thinking of going Ozone + Uv plus minimal bromine top up. Is there a better, chlorine free option? We've realised how amazing it is to have a hot tub, so ..read more

Hi, have a hot spring jet setter with an io 2020 control board. Power light is flashing green, but the circulation pump will not turn on nor is the control board show me power to the terminals. The fuse is fine.
I recently refilled the tub and the water temperature is 50° And initially thought the low temp may stop the pumps. I warmed up the temperature sensor on the heater using a hairdryer and it registered 68°.
Jets turn on.
Is the low temperature of the water that's preventing things turning on or do I have a bad control board?

For those with hot tub covers with broken foam, you can easily replace it with some 3” foam from home depot and a sawzall.
I was shocked at the price of a new cover so I let my creative side go. Voila!

I’ve had the spa for 1 year and 8 months, living on the NC/SC coastal border. Called Master Spa and the agent couldn’t locate a repair person. Local dealers do not work on them. What now?

Hi I've been thinking about getting a hot tub I really don't know much about them so I am just testing the water.
Anyone in the UK can give me advice on running costs? I'm from the north east wouldn't say earn a lot of money but I also don't go out much so it would be my guilty pleasure.
I was looking at a trident are there tubs that may be more expensive but will lower the running cost?
