I drained and refilled my swimspa. I got the ph levels where they’re supposed to be. Used two different brands of test strips and they both say ph is good. I added chlorine (sodium type) with 12 teaspoons per directions on amount of water I have. Ran pumps and checked over a couple hours and total chlorine is up as expected, but free chlorine seems 0. Only one of my test strip brands show free. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to wait or do something else.
It’s new water. Ph is fine. I don’t get it.

Anyone who has repaired an acrylic crack or chip with epoxy - how has it held up (how long has it been) and what product did you use?
Did your crack spread overtime or has the epoxy held up?
Thanks!

Probably a dumb question, but how do you turn on the exterior lights? I have the touch screen and when I hit the light button I only have one option and it turns on/off the interior lights.

Getting ready to take delivery of swim spa. Does everyone use romex in pvc conduit or some other type of power wire (direct bury or in pvc)? Seen some different things posted about if romex is correct for that type of installation. It’s a 100’ run on a 60A circuit. I can see 55A is max rating for 6/3 and the gfi can be either 50 or 60A for the particular spa. Need to figure out if it ever draws over 55 I guess as well to settle on a 50 or 60A gfi.

I recently got a taylor liquid reagent test kit. I cranked alkalinity to 130ppm while PH was about 3 drops overboard. I have been adding in the sodium bisulfate as suggested to lower PH accordingly and the PH doesn't come down much(So i've kept adding more). Ive got it to come down to needing 1 drop from 3 but the alkalinity has tanked all the way to 60-70ppm since i've added so much extra sodium bisulfate.
Is there any good reason that the PH isn't adjusting lower accurately, based off the amount of sodium bisulfate that the taylor manual says?

I had just finished refurbishing an old cal spa, and the Balboa 50929 board seems to have gone out. It has a brand new heater and Temp/Limit sensors (as well as cover) and I just spent over a grand, then the board popped, so I want to try to salvage it if possible.
I heard you can upgrade the controls systems which seems like a no brainer, as I hated this old single button. All I want is up/down buttons as far as 'upgrade' lol.
How do I go about verifying which are compatible? It is a single PL346 pump. I build 12V control systems for cars frequently so I'm sure I can handle this with som ..read more

Hi guys, I have finally decided to try and find why my tub was not working. Is this thing repairable or is there a generic replacement boar I could use?
Thanks
