Boeing 777 refurb cabins?

Hi there, I'm booking a flight soon from San Diego to London Heathrow and I've been studying world traveler+ or Premium Economy. I've noticed on recent YouTube reviews the 777 cabin seems dated. Have refurbishments occured on the 777? If so, is there a way to identify? I'm more confident the 787 flights wouldn't face this issue. submitted by /u/icemint870 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Your BA Companion Voucher + Avios deals to Japan

Hey everyone! I'm trying to book flights to Japan using a BA Companion Voucher and Avios, ideally securing Business class seats for two departing from London. I tried calling the US office, and they offered me flights for February 2025 priced at $2600 USD plus 168k Avios points, which seemed a bit steep to me. The person I spoke with also seemed also quite lost, and it took them 40 minutes to provide this information. I'd love to hear about the deals you've managed to score to Japan using a Companion Voucher and Avios, just to get a some sort of point of reference. Any tips on the best way to ..read more

Tips for first long haul holiday using BA, Avios? Upgrades? Help!

Hello all. I am familiar with BA on short haul within Europe, however will be undertaking something a little out of my comfort zone. As part of preparation for an upcoming Engagement, I am currently planning a Long haul to Cancun. 10 Days, nice 5 star etc. Aug 2025. One consideration I am making is premium econ vs Business, I've never flown business, and would very much like to at least once. With it being a 9hr flight, and on the return, overnight, would this be worth upgrading to, it's looking like about £3k for the two of us for the Upgrade. (Worth noting I'm having to base this on 2024 pr ..read more

Question about Club World Storage

Hello, I’m planning to fly in October. I’ve flown before and received conflicting advice on whether I am able to stash my handbag under the footrest of the Club World Suite. I was told both yes and no by other passengers. I find it a hassle to store my handbag in the overhead as I am very short and usually it slides to the back of the overhead bin. Does anyone know the official line? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/TheCharlieMonster [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I’ll be travelling soon to UK for quite a long time and have booked a Premium Economy flight to Manchester which allows me 2 checked in baggage 23kg each. I’ve weighed my baggages and they are a little over 25kg each. Will I be charged for the extra luggage? submitted by /u/EstablishmentAny5550 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I have roughly 64k avios. I was wondering if it's worth using it for travel within the US via American Airlines or is it better to save it for UK travel? (My base airports would be either IAD or DCA) thanks! submitted by /u/she-said-bye [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Seat advice for a very tall guy please ?

Seat 30K in economy on the 787-9... half the price of those in the same row, I assume there is still lots of legroom? Is the price lower because the door takes up a small amount of space in front of you? Or are there any other major issues I'm missing? If anyone could link a photo of these seats I'll love you forever ? submitted by /u/UnlikelyExperience [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Handbag/personal bag allowances

Hey all! I’m flying to China in a few weeks and I was wondering if my personal bag dimensions would fly. I have the Nomad Lane Bento Bag (17 x 8 x 10) which slightly exceeds BA’s requirements (16 x 12 x 6). Do you think I would be able to fly with it and a carry on that’s within those requirements? submitted by /u/frogpersons [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

14h with this under the seat in front of me

This is probably common knowledge to you guys, but I'm not a frequent flyer and just wanted to vent. Was very disappointed to take my seat on my 14h flight back from Santiago to find I was missing 1/3 of my legroom due to the mystery grey box under the seat in front of me. I'm 6'3 and struggle at the best of times, and I know that if I want guaranteed legroom I should pay extra for emergency aisle seat, or standard premium/business etc, but I was happy to accept basic legroom in ecomony, but was not expecting this - which made for an even more uncomfortable journey than I expected and was di ..read more
