Hello,
I have a Vintage Electric Cafe. I’d like to raise the handlebars by maybe 1.5-2 inches to get in a bit more of an upright position and decrease the reach. I already have the seat forward as far as it will go and the seat is positioned correctly in terms of height (I have long-ish legs and short-ish arms for my overall height of 5’9”).
I am a complete newbie to bike maintenance/upgrades, but I figured out how to raise the handlebars by unscrewing the locking nut on top of the stem...

The Vintage Cafe features a removable 500 Wh battery that the company rates for between 20-60 miles (32-97 km). Which is to say, “it can go anywhere from not that far to pretty far.”
For what it’s worth, most e-bikes of this size and power level can do an honest 20 miles (32 km) of range on throttle-only operation at 20 mp ..read more

I used to ride alot, but havent in years. With Covid, I don't have to be anywhere and can bike to work again. I want an ebike so I don't sweat my guts out in the Midwest summer. I bought a Pedego, it ticked a lot of boxes but feels underpowered and doesn't inspire me.
I'm 6 feet, about 215 and the ride is 7 miles each way, some hills. I am in love with the Cafe styling, just wish it had a throttle for when I poop out at the end of the day. I'm also considering several mid drive bikes-...

Is anyone using a wall mount that can hold the weight of a Vintage e-bike? Any other storage options besides just the kick stand?
When I get mine, it is going to be in my garage near my car and I would just like to figure out a way to secure it to make sure it can't accidently fall onto my car.
Thanks ..read more

Head turning from all angles, it's a monster that pretty much keeps on rolling once you get the 85 lbs going. An accessory pin let's the rider bypass the 20mph, 750 watt stock motor settings for a more speedy 30+mph! Outfitted with Shimano Alfine hydraulic disc brakes you've got the safe stopping ability along with a classic LED headlight that doesn't pull much energy from the battery. The charger port is also designed to do firmware upgrades in the future. What a ride!

Following other forum members, I wanted to share my observations now that I’ve accumulated 1,000 miles on the Café ebike from Vintage Electric Bikes Vintage Electric Bikes (“VEB”) of California.
Background: In January with my 50th birthday looming in August, being out of shape and at least 75 pounds overweight, I suddenly decided I would pursue an ebike. I hoped it would introduce enjoyable (and sustainable) exercise into my too sedentary lifestyle. I tipped...

Hi all,
I currently own a Stromer ST1 Platinum and love it, but saw this one online and thought of it as my next upgrade... I went to their store in Santa Clara, CA and met with a very nice young guy who let me take it for a test ride. It rides like a moped, goes up to 35mph, and has alot of power. The throttle lever is a nice feature, although I felt the brakes could use some beefing up. It starts at $5,000, has a 3000 watt motor, and has a beautiful Brooks Saddle and other accessories...
