I buy and restore/refinish bamboo fly rods as a hobby and have many to sell. This is a beautiful early 40’s built rod. When I bought it the rod was missing a couple wraps and a couple more were very dry. I wrapped the missing ones with the correct red with black tipped wraps and then applied three coats of spar varnish. the rod comes in it’s original bag and tube. The tube is in good condition but being original is dry and needs handled with care. I’m asking $325 for the rod and can ship... South Bend model 290 2 piece 2 tip bamboo fly rod ..read more

If you are in the market for classic tackle I highly recommend thomasturnerfishingantiques in the uk. I just picked up a 4.5 hardy perfect for a good price from them. It was packed very nice, only took a few days to get here(boise id) , usually its several weeks. The shipping was half the price of other reels Ive gotten off the ebay sites based in the UK. The reel was as described if not better. Very pleased ..read more
