Back in the 1950 and 60’s show skiing was a big thing. It was filled with quirky acts, folks skiing on a canoe paddle, climbing a ladder, etc. One such act will be returning this summer. The club has received Richard Price’s BikeSki. I’m looking forward to getting some of our skiers on it after a little refurbishing this spring. Some history from Richard on the Bikeski: It started as a “Free board”, Which is used to start barefoot skiing with a block to hold the toes. The ski was made by Rainbo Baking Co. in Emporia, KS. The board was steamed and a 1 1/2 ton truck was parked on it overnight to ..read more

Our jump foreman Jim Stout has been working and the jump is starting to take shape. Kelli and Scott Mills came and sandblasted a couple weeks ago. It looks so good. Jim and Dave Bisel worked and got started on putting the surface on. Summer is coming very soon. Send us a message if you are interested in signing your child(ren ..read more

Our Junior development program will be starting again in about 90 days. We are so excited and very grateful to one of our long time members, Amy Clark. Amy Clark has again made an incredible donation to the Junior Development program. The first 15 kids to sign up for 10 weeks of Junior development will have their fees paid by Amy in memory of Kevin Clark. Kevin loved to ski barefoot. His passion for the sport made him a national champion. What he really enjoyed was getting kids out and teaching them to barefoot. He would push the kids, to do new things and try different things. I found this vi ..read more
