Hi everyone,
I'm getting close to laying out all my 3/4 PVC for a new irrigation system in my old yard. I live on a street where occasionally, neighbors will touch my grass with their tires for temporary parking or switching of cars and for pulling out their boats.
I can obviously lay my 3/4 pvc about 16 or 18 inches away from edge of street and will use funny-pipe that go to the heads so only the heads might get damaged. But I like to use those Rainbird stainless steel rotors and are now...

Hi everyone,
I have an artesian well that is for irrigation at my house. I'm in the process of moving the location of where the pump used to be. I need to shut off the flow to lay my new pipe direction.
While they used a solid bronze or solid brass large body for what I assume is a gate-valve that should have the worm like gears in it, the handle was made of cheap regular steel is is barely holding together. Is it possible for the handle and packing nut to be replaced while under pressure...

We have a smart water meter that is detecting water running 24/7. When I shut off the water valve to the irrigation system the water usage stops so the leak is definitely somewhere in the irrigation lines. I have walked the property for days and found no soft areas where the water is pooling. Any suggestions on how to find the leak ..read more

I have my drip irrigation lines fed from an Orbit 3-port timer. With the current ever-changing weather (MD), I need to run them manually. All I can get it to do is one at a time, so I have to set a time and go out and program the next one (they each need different times). Is it possible to get it to run them in sequence?
(I swear I got it to do this once, was sure I'd remember how, and now cannot.)

I am up grading from a 25 year old rainbird to a new Behive box. I have 4 zones. The inside of my box has zone 1 brown wire, zone 2 red wire, zone 3 orange and zone 4 yellow. I have no wires hooked to zone 5 but I notice I have a black wire hooked to number 6 on the box. I have no idea what that wire is for or if I should hook it to my new box. Thank you ..read more

Hey everyone! I wanted to get advice of those more knowledgeable than myself.
I have a a wireless Hunter HC Flow and I have to relocate the meter from outside to my basement due to inability to winterize it. I plan to install a master valve outside where the flow meter was and then relocate the meter to my basement, which is prior to the backflow outside. I have the available length in pex runs to ensure I observe minimums and I think this should work out.
I would appreciate it if someone...

At the end of the 1" poly, where I want to put the last swing pipe for the last head. What fitting would I use there? This one looks like it would work, but is it the same as the other swing pipe fittings or would I have to crimp the swing pipe to this ..read more

Does anyone use the Blue Twister fittings? How well do they work? Any problems with leaking? I plan to use crimp clamps and use two on each side of the fittings.
Also, Home Depot has NSF rated poly and Menards has non-NSF rated. The non-NSF rated is considerably less money. Do fittings work with both NSF and non-NSF poly? Or, do I have to get different fittings depending on the poly I use? I'm concerned with pipe diameter differences ..read more
