It was such a relaxed and easy going day for Joy & Steve’s fall Clark Gardens Wedding. Joy and Steve have known of each other for around 8 or 9 years and were there for each other when Steve’s wife died a few years back from cancer.
During our consult call Joy told me the goal, or theme for the wedding day was fall, classy, relaxed backyard party with a wedding attached. Since this was a second wedding for both, they really just wanted to do the damn thing! Most of their guests were close friends and family already so many of the formalities of a wedding were thrown out the window. This ma ..read more

There’s so much to enjoy when you have a candid wedding at the Sanctuary Event Space in Austin!
The glowing string lights that hang over the dinner tables, the gorgeous natural light in both getting ready spaces, the intimate size of the venue and the easy access to after party venues :)
Kari and Dan had a cozy, candid wedding last fall with jewel tone flowers and a laid back attitude towards the day. We started off with a little bit of getting ready pictures for both the bride and groom. Dan’s green suit was so fun and different! I am a huge fan of photographing the getting ready since we ge ..read more

Lauren and John’s color palette was so much fun! Their vibrant pink fall wedding at Lone Star Oaks might have been on a wildly freezing and wet day for Austin but we made it work!
I think this wedding color palate was inspired by Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour! What about y’all? With all the blush and orange and rose colored flowers I’d have to say yes! You should keep scrolling and see the amazing crescent moon shaped floral install with disco balls designed and installed by Jordan Flowers and Events.
The bride had such a beautiful, soft, romantic style and looked absolutely comfortable and at ..read more

Mia had a specific photo inspo for her editorial, modern engagement session in Austin. With a perfect winter day on tap here in Austin, we hit up the streets of South Congress walking around and getting these downtown city style engagement photos for their destination wedding in Mexico this fall.
Working with repeat clients like these two is the dream! Mia and I are always down to collaborate and work together to create interesting photos. So cheers to these two and their editorial chic engagement photos at the South Congress Hotel.

Spencer asked Abbey to be his partner for life at the Austin Boardwalk on Labor Day Weekend.
Spencer surreptitiously planned everything for his proposal for MONTHS. I’m talking… over 6 months to plan while navigating so many new things like graduating, a new job and generally “right time” things. How did Spencer keep it away from Abbey for so long? He had her rent a dress, telling Abbey it was for a new job happy hour, to booking me well in advance, and even going as far as faking a phone call in the Uber on the way to the boardwalk to keep Abbey from guessing. This Boardwalk proposal is one o ..read more

Nothing says “Austin engagement session” more than sharing a pint of Electric Jellyfish on a patio. Kari & Dan met via friends of friends in a very long, roundabout way. Kari has an infectious laugh and generous smile that is like sunshine breaking through clouds. They enjoy riding bikes together, hiking/the general outdoors, local craft beer and listening to KUTX while cooking together at home.
Kari and Dan took my recommendation of a brewery for your engagements and we had such a fun time just hanging out together on a date night at Pinthouse Brewing! 10/10 love these kinds of sessions ..read more

I don’t often get to photograph the the siblings of past clients’ weddings. But I was so honored when I got to see Michelle and her family again at hers and Andrew’s intimate Hotel Emma wedding. It had been over 5 years since I photographed Christine, Michelle’s sister, at her wedding and reuniting for another wedding felt like an extended family gathering.
Neither the bride nor groom had an interest in being the center of attention at a large wedding, so the two decided to have just family and a couple friends join for a private dinner provided by Hotel Emma. The bride’s soft lace dress give ..read more
