Victoria & Bryan’s Austin engagement photos at Mount Bonnell quickly became a favorite session from last year. A perfectly sunny day, crispy air, golden sunset and a fun couple to work with. What more does a photographer want from a session? Hardly anything, to be honest! I love their confidence in being silly and having […]

Rachel and Ted are genuine, silly and very laid-back people. The couple both work full-time, non-creative jobs so they entrusted me and their vendor team to make their wedding day a reality. These two had known each other since 6th grade, even ending up going to the same high school and college together before Rachel […]

Congratulations on your engagement! This is such an exciting time for you and I’m so happy for you both. We’re going to have a great time taking a lot of photos! In Central Texas, spring is the shortest season yet best time for taking engagement photos. Longer days and later sunsets mean we can linger more casually during our session. Popular locations are parks, nature centers and botanical gardens where we can take full advantage of the blooms
First let’s go over some basics.
What NOT to wear to your spring engagement photos or any photos for that matter.

If you’re looking for some unique wedding inspo, may I introduce you to the details of this Midsummer’s Night Dream wedding at Pecan Springs Ranch? A gorgeous fall day was in order with crisp, cool air and abundant, warm sunshine.
I love the details of the gold hexagonal ring box which was so unique – unlike most of the typical velvet ring boxes.
No corner of the venue was forgotten with personalized details everywhere. The bride really loved a whimsical and romantic Midsummer’s Night Dream wedding theme.

It was such a relaxed and easy going day for Joy & Steve’s fall Clark Gardens Wedding. Joy and Steve have known of each other for around 8 or 9 years and were there for each other when Steve’s wife died a few years back from cancer.
During our consult call Joy told me the goal, or theme for the wedding day was fall, classy, relaxed backyard party with a wedding attached. Since this was a second wedding for both, they really just wanted to do the damn thing! Most of their guests were close friends and family already so many of the formalities of a wedding were thrown out the window. This ma ..read more

There’s so much to enjoy when you have a candid wedding at the Sanctuary Event Space in Austin!
The glowing string lights that hang over the dinner tables, the gorgeous natural light in both getting ready spaces, the intimate size of the venue and the easy access to after party venues :)
Kari and Dan had a cozy, candid wedding last fall with jewel tone flowers and a laid back attitude towards the day. We started off with a little bit of getting ready pictures for both the bride and groom. Dan’s green suit was so fun and different! I am a huge fan of photographing the getting ready since we ge ..read more

Lauren and John’s color palette was so much fun! Their vibrant pink fall wedding at Lone Star Oaks might have been on a wildly freezing and wet day for Austin but we made it work!
I think this wedding color palate was inspired by Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour! What about y’all? With all the blush and orange and rose colored flowers I’d have to say yes! You should keep scrolling and see the amazing crescent moon shaped floral install with disco balls designed and installed by Jordan Flowers and Events.
The bride had such a beautiful, soft, romantic style and looked absolutely comfortable and at ..read more
