I've had the PSR-600 at my desk for a number of years but have recently mounted it in my vehicle. I am wanting to get back into scanning and wondering if I need to upgrade from my Home Patrol 1 & 396XT to a new radio. Mostly wanting to listen to Pinellas County, but wouldn't mind Hillsboro as well. Have a discone @25' which might help. I see Uniden's SDS100 has been out for over 4 years. I'm new to scanning and have a SDS100. I have set up my favorites for the Jacksonville Beach and St Johns County sheriff departments using Sentinel and the RR database. I am receiving on the fire and rescue departments/channels which are P25. However the sheriff department/channels are silent.
