The bride, escorted down the aisle by her father, wore a lace fit-and-flare design by Essense of Australia. While the gown was originally strapless, Megan’s mother added beaded straps to suit the bride’s style. In addition, the mother of the bride also customized wedge sneakers, adding beads and sequins from one of Megan’s childhood dance costumes. The bride’s alma mater was represented on the shoes, too — the Duke Blue Devils insignia lent “something blue” to the occasion.
